A friend of mine has one. Its an over priced Colorado. It doesnt have much room, the 5 cyl. engine sounds like a retard, and it can barley get out of its own way.

im not upset. he asked what people thought of them, i answered, and he asked another question to my answer. i only answered the second time because he said he didnt care what people on the road thought of the h3t, but turned and ragged on there being too many tacomas and gixxers on the road. just funny that deep down he realy does care what people think. buy your truck dude, i wont be mad at you.

I like them. If you want one, go ahead. Do keep in mind however, that underneath the flashy body, it is still a Colorado/Canyon truck. That was enough to make me have a very difficult time justifying the asking price. As Hummer is being folded, they should be offering them at fire sale prices on top of the 0% financing.

maybe he mad cuz he cant afford one and wants a hummer really really bad :D. not sure a h3 or h2 is a status symbol.i would think a s500 benz, viper, lambo or m6 as a status symbol. most people can afford a $30k-$40k car/truck. i dont think most people are impressed with trucks.owning a pick up doesnt prove poop.
i know nothing about the inline 5 and thats what scares me.never drove one yet and not sure of interior room.maybe get to the dealer today or this week.

deep down inside you want a hummer:D i asked about "THE H3T" not about people feelings of people who drive the truck. you might be a little slow but its ok.:)

So you want to be a poser?

If that were true, why would you be spending so much money on a status symbol? Spend a LOT LESS on something that you can actually USE.

    +1

You asked for opinions, and you clearly knew what you had coming doing that on a Tacoma site. My vote is don't do it. I've never once seen a Hummer H2 or H3 and not though "douche." It doesn't matter if it's base or the highest line they have. Every single one... "Douche."

Your money to piss away how you want, though.

I have driven an I-5 H3T. It is not a barn burner, but it is more than adequate in 3.7L form. You will have to get used to the "Atlas moan" that will be a part of your life on hills that are steep enough to put the engine under load, but not enough so to cause a downshift. Early 3.5L I-5 engines had valve seat problems. This was fixed with the upsizing to 3.7L.

Just talked to me buddy. He gets about 13 to 14 MPG city, and 16 HWY with the I5.

Why do people think of an h3 as an status symbol???????i dont get it.its a budget truck not a lambo.i must be missing something. if you can afford a $140,000 h1 than your doing something right( or illegal)

My Buddy kinda thought it a "Status symbol" when He got his. He told me "I got a Hummer", when he bought it. I asked what kind? and he told me. I said, "So....You got a Chevy Colorado with a square body, and more weight?"

No, the 5.3 is the V8 upgrade, and you must get the "Alpha" model to get it.

The ones I looked at were definitely not AWD. It had a pushbutton part time 4x4 system, just like the Colorado.

Anything that starts in the $30k isn't a budget anything, and one that's as impractical as the H3T screams "look at me and how much money I can spend!" You don't have to spend $100k+ to buy a status symbol.

If you're worried about gas mileage, then I'd opt for the full size truck over the H3T. You will actually get BETTER gas mileage out of a Silverado or Sierra. Going regular cab/short bed will be similar in length - and less expensive.

deep down inside i want a hum-v. also deep down inside i have always wanted to hummer line to die. if realy wanted a status symbol vehicle i would go for something with real "holy sh*t, look at that" vehicle status, like any american muscle (69' camaro, or any year of chalanger would be my top picks). now those i look at and think, "you lucky bastard"

i agree but not in my price range and no deals on them
i meant the motor drops to a 4 banger on the highway. it says on the site and forums its awd.maybe i misread it.
the h3t is a 4 door pickup like the tacoma.right?it has a 5ft bed like most of you guys have.right?why is that impractical?so it the toyota impractical?im not saying $30k is chump change by any means, but $30k is budget when you compare it to the escalades(screams look at me) ,f250,f350,chevy 2500 and 3500.all big dollar trucks. your taking almost twice the price as a tacoma
