Ahh yes that's right. I thought Nixon was doing something too but it must just have been the smart watch above.

Agree with this too. They're great cars, would love to have a new vette, and call me a snob if you must but I like some exclusivity. If you're interested in a nice Gallardo to hold you over waiting for the Huracan I have a friend that's selling on of his.

I can appreciate the Seiko. It obviously is a very nice watch. But I would personally never buy one no matter how nice it is. To me it's like putting the name Chevette on a Corvette. If they did that I would never buy that car because of the name.

If I had the money for a Huracan it would be in my garage right now. Sadly I do not. But to me that's what dream cars are made for. If everyone owned one they wouldn't be that special. I came damn close to buying a Jaguar Ftype SVR not long ago but my wife came down with a life changing cancer scare right about the same time. So that readjusted my priorities quickly to what is important in my life. The Jag can wait. My wife can't. Luckily everything is okay but with life being so uncertain sometimes it's a balancing act over the things we want and the things that are really important to us. That said... I want one really nice car before I move on from this world. Time will tell.

I have exotic tastes in the things that I purchase. If it's something I'm going to use it will be the best in whatever category that may be. And when it comes to watches I'm a snob and I'm not afraid to admit it. I still don't have the all the ones I want yet but I will.

My dad gave me this watch in 1994. He bought it in 1964 while living the dream as a Navy diver. It's a 1963 Submariner and it has some seriously great stories!

surprised out of the 14 pages of watches (i got giddy when i found this thread), no one is wearing Aragon (formerly Android) brand watches. i have about 10 of them in rotation. avid watch collector here.

this one is my current fav. 50mm... nice and big!

He wore it through his Navy service and throughout his 29-year career at Delta. Here's an old photo of him wearing the watch. He was on the recovery team for Gemini 7...

Just unboxed it. Much to come.
Very cool story and watch. Very cool to have a picture with it from its day. Any idea what it sold for back then ?

Its fun to think about the railroad watches and who owned them and where they've been. Mine is a 1920's model. Runs 60 hours on a wind and you have to take the face off and release a little lever to set the time. I have a couple more pocket watches but that one is the coolest.

It's interesting to see a watch with the push buttons on the left side like that, looks nice.

The left-side buttons activate the analog compass and altitude indicators. Seem pretty accurate comparing with my Suunto, but the altitude is awfully difficult to read ;)

My dad told me he paid $310 for it in 1964...and all of his buddies made fun of him "for wasting his money." He's funny...he'll call me up and the first thing out of his mouth is "how's my watch?" I've been saving for a while now to buy my dad a new Submariner. It probably won't happen until next year, but I know he'll be stoked!!
