I encountered these two Jeeps on Route 611 during the drive home. They appeared to be chatting, or showing off, or something like that...

Either way, they were blocking the road and barely going the speed limit...


I finally got pissed off and turned on my brights, and driver of the yellow Jeep realized he was on a highway and not on a deserted side street...


The yellow one sped up and I cut in front of the white one...

 

I've said it before and I'll continue to. When you take pictures of people's property....cars, houses, HVAC systems, etc....you automatically arouse suspicion. It looks funny and for some it's just not appropriate behavior.

The guy was doing his job by asking you what you were doing. Did he embellish the story some? Maybe. But he was probably just trying to find a simple way to get you to leave rather than confront you in a more hostile, direct way.

If I saw a person taking pictures of people's homes or cars in a random way I would probably ask them what they're doing. too....certainly so if it were my property. And if need be I would call the police.

You have to be careful. While someone's property (vehicle) may be in a public space....like a parking lot...the property itself is not public. And taking pictures of people's homes is just asking for trouble.

 

I don't do that anymore...

Really, I don't. I walk up to people in parking lots all the time and ask if I can take pictures of their vehicles, but people are too psychotic these days and I just don't feel like dealing with them.

 

Also, I've had people ask why I was taking so many pictures of their vehicles...

As I said above, my boss has started sending me to 7-Eleven to buy her cigarettes. The guys at 7-Eleven never card me, because I've been coming there for a while and buying ice for my bar on busy nights. I also believe they carded me once and they realize I'm of age...

Sometimes I buy cigarettes for my boss at the supermarket. The woman there has been giving me change for so long, and knows that I work at a bar. As a result, I believe sue assumes that since I work at a bar, I must be old enough to buy smokes, and this never cards me.

These obnoxiously by-the-books Wawa people have successfully alienated probably another customer! Seriously, even though the Wawa people know I'm 28, they have to card me every time! WTF?

I honestly wish my boss would just quit smoking, as that would solve 95% of the problem!

 

If people want to smoke and trash their bodies, that's fine...

Why do so many of the people I work with have to smoke?!?!

Smoking is a filthy habit!!!

 

Bars and smoking go hand in hand.

 

My bar is non-smoking, at least inside...

Also, do you know anything about ceramic coating?

It lasts for 9 years and costs $1,300 on my truck.

My dad is hinting that he'd be willing to pay for at least half if I show credible proof that it would really protect my truck like the detailer says it will.

My dad knows about the rust problems for which Tacos are infamous...
