I am slowly gathering knowledge though some very light reading.

Have not tried any of it yet, though.

My wheels will be the first to get coated when that time comes around.

Save your money. Not worth the expense on an 8 year rig IMHO.

Totally agree. By now Charlie you would be trapping damage in. Best thing to do is ceramic coat when you first buy a vehicle.

Bill, does your Storm Trooper have Apple CarPlay or at a bare minimum built-in iPod control?

When you plug an iPod in through the USB port, can you control the iPod through the radio?

First time I ever experienced CarPlay was in my cousin's 2016 Mercedes SUV, which she no longer has (the Mercedes was an impulse buy right before she got pregnant with her third kid, and she traded it for a brand new 2018 Honda Odyssey Touring so she'd have the extra space)...

Chances are that the 2018 AC SR5 I was eyeing doesn't have it, either...

How about this one? Please read and give me your opinion...

I thought this was rather harsh for a "first offense."

It was back in October 2010 and my cousin was going to college at East Stroudsburg, and she she accompanied my parents and me to an outlet mall in Stroudsburg. It wasn't long before I got bored and wandered around taking pictures.

Like Bill guessed with the other incident, they were of the truck and HVAC variety.

I wandered around for a good thirty minutes before the mall cop stopped me. I still laugh about this more than 7 years later, because that security guard looked exactly like the Wally World security guard in National Lampoon's Vacation. This particular mall is owned by Simon Properties, which is reviled by hobby photographers because of a draconian "No Photography on Mall Property" policy. Allied-Barton is a security firm which specializes in providing stereotypical "mall cops." Simon almost exclusively uses Allied-Barton security guards, and they are well-known in online communities for being douchebags...

    So here's what happened...

John Candy's body double shows up out of nowhere, asks me what I'm doing, and tells me that photography on mall property is not allowed. I expected to be hassled by security. I didn't expect the mall cop in Stroudsburg to be such a douchenozzle...

I had been harassed by security at the Oxford Valley Mall (in Langhorne, like 30-40 minutes from my house) not even a month earlier. I'd been taking pictures of a rooftop A/C unit from the parking lot. Paul Blart comes cruising up in his Chevy Equinox and says simply "No photography allowed on mall property."

My response was "okay, jeez" and I stuffed my camera into my pocket. He drove off without another word, and didn't even seem to give a shit what I was taking pictures of...

The John Candy double in East Stroudsburg was not so nice...

He informed me that I would have to go put my camera back in my car. I wanted to tell him to go fuck himself, but I'm a nice guy. I half-lied...

I told the mall cop that I'd come with my parents, they had the keys to the van, and not only did I not have the keys but they'd dropped me off and parked so I didn't know where the van was, and I didn't feel like calling my parents to get the keys or trying to find the van...

    That was actually the truth...

He said okay, but that if he caught me taking pictures again, my whole family would be asked to leave. Excuse me? WTF did my family do? And what did I do? All I did was take a couple of pictures and it's not like I was warned repeatedly not to...

To top it all off, I was on the phone with my Grandma about 10 minutes later, and the same mall cop was with another mall cop, following me!

That guy left me with a burning disdain for security guards (especially mall cops), a burning disdain that still continues to this day...

Well they do have signs posted, so you were in violation of their rules. The man was just doing his job. You might have a disdain for “mall cops” but you don’t know how his day has been or what other interactions he has been through prior to you.

One of the most noteworthy traits of Aspergers Syndrome would be trouble picking up on certain social cues and reading certain social situations. Many of us with AS more or less overcome this issue by learning from experience. A perfect example would be friend John. Most people are shocked when they find out he has AS...

I'm not quite at the same level as John, but for lack of a better term, I'm at least lovable...

One of my AS friends, who I've mentioned before, is quite abrasive and comes off as unfriendly. He sees me acting a certain way at a party or at whatever bar we happen to be at, and he attempts to emulate me...

The problem is that he doesn't have my friendly personality!

Well take it as a sign of respect in the fact he wants to follow in your ability to be the friendly guy you are. Maybe he is trying and just doesn’t know the best path at being the most friendly, maybe you could help guide him...

    Actually they didn't...

    I see signs saying:

    NO LOITERING
    NO BICYCLE RIDING
    NO SKATEBOARDING
    NO ROLLERBLADING
    NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
    NO PETS EXCEPT SERVICE ANIMALS

Even today, when I read the rule signs at malls from top to bottom, none of them say NO PHOTOGRAPHY.

And I understand that mall cops are doing their jobs...

My problem is that the vast majority are such d-bags!

Also, someone made a video of his nephew (a toddler) riding on a small 3-person merry-go-round with his phone. A security guard comes up and tells him he can't film at the mall, even if it's his kid.

He posted the video on YouTube, by the way...

I gave up on trying to help him a while ago...

He's going to have to find his own way. Slowly but surely, he seems to be doing it...

It may have I-Pod connectivity. But I don’t have an I-Pod. My oldest daughter used to Bluetooth her I-Pod through the system before she got a smart phone.

I have a Phillips MP3 stick that I use. When it's plugged in I can control it through the head unit or the steering wheel controls.

It's got 100's of songs on it. But with SAT radio, I don't use it much
