This. I replaced a single crap flourescent on my 2 bay side. Had the fixture converted to a duplex outlet in the ceiling, and had 2 more duplexes installed in a row across the center of the ceiling. Bought a 6 pack of led shoplights off Amazon and mounted in a grid pattern to illuminate every dark, obstructed corner.
    Before:

After, and this doesn't even do it justice because the camera darkened it:

The third bay had higher ceilings with two tired double tube T8 flourescents. I just swapped led replacement tubes into this for now.

Nice. I ended up ordering a set of LED strips from Amazon too. I have one double door and one single. The single never had a garage door opener and the one light in the whole place was wired to where the outlet should go for that door. I changed that out to an outlet that is half controlled by the existing switch and then got lights that plug into each other so I'll only need the one plug. Installed a garage door opener last night that plugs into the always hot side of the outlet. Really didn't feel like crawling through the attic again....

    yeah,
the LED fixtures I got have linkable plugs too. I did not need to use them, but boy do they open up easy, inexpensive options and flexibility. And the low electric load maximizes that.

I was originally going to hardwire in several new fixtures, but when I figured out that the builder ran the wiring needed for my garage sensors to that location already and I didnt have to go in the attic at all i decided to go the easy route. The lights were about $100. If I went with hardwired options I couldve got some for about $50, but then I have to buy wire, buy boxes, and perform the f-ing circus act that is balancing on the ceiling joists of my garage while climbing over all of the roof trusses. Last time I was in there running coax for cable install, my leg cramped up and I thought I was going through the ceiling.

I got mine at Costco and Ive got them linked also. It was harder for me to put the lights up than the overall wiring. but they are working great, and if one does happen to go out someday I just replace it..

If your joints are less than a inch thick I'd probably say it's polymeric sand. I just used stone dust since it's cheaper and I won't have to deal with cracking down the road. I also read the sand can leave a residue film over the the pavers or stones.

I corrected my earlier post. I did NOT use the linking plugs. But now I can easily add more if I find I'm not sufficiently blinded by this setup.

I paid an electrician to deal with the outlets. I have more money than time for this type of work now. The lights only came with hook hanging hardware, but I wanted them flushed mounted on the low ceiling. This made me think things through.

The lights are very lightweight and can be single handed while wielding a screw gun atop a ladder. Screws with fender washers straight through the sheet metal shade and into joists made sense. But I needed everything to be perfectly prepped before climbing the ladder. I'll post pics with more info later.

mine had hanging light hardware and slots for screws to flush mount. The difficult part was set up, but after they are in place they work great.
