    Because lipos need lipo chargers. They are volatile if punctured. They store a ton of energy. One the size of a bar of soap can jump start a truck.

    The friend is not real clear about whether battery leak out happened before or after he cut the wires, or before or after the after the mechanical damage to the battery.... I'm tired of trying to get to the bottom of it. So this whole thing might have been just a case of asking silly questions, and me stringing you guys along with it.

    Something similar happened to me last night. Came out of the airport and No dash lights, no stop lights, had to drive with hazards in the fog yesterday. Fml
    Prolly had to do something with the rain and shorting something out.
