I’ve had my truck for approximately 3 months now. I’ve noticed after coming to a stop or starting from a stop with clutch in and brake on if I release the brake and keep the clutch depressed it doesn’t roll back. Even on steep inclines. Is this some sort of anti roll feature or is my clutch not completely disengaging?

I like it too. Just didn’t know if it was supposed to. Dealership never mentioned it and none of my previous mt’s have ever done it.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Bummer. Every day on my way home from work I encounter "Clutch Burner Hill". It's a short, steep stretch of street with a traffic light at the top. I've made a game out of messing with the people that feel they absolutely must pull up just a couple inches behind me. When the light turns green, I take my foot off the brake a roll back a bit before engaging the clutch. The goal is to get the driver behind me to freak out and lay on the horn. Heh, I'm going to miss that.

    (yes, I'm evil)

Just step on it, go past 3500 rpms before shifting and she'll leave 'em in the dust.

I don't get intimidated by these idiots, so I just lolly gag my way along until they eventually go around, or turn.
Their need for making up for being late is not my problem, so I am not going to absorb any of their fret.

Now what is fun when I am being tailgated on a long two lane road with no other traffic or dangers around is this.
While in 4th gear, I slow down just a tad to reel them in. Then really quickly push in the clutch, shift down to 3rd (holding the clutch in still), hit the brakes hard and then let off the clutch and slam the skinny pedal at the same time. This allow me to accelerate very quickly away from them as they are slamming on their brakes to avoid hitting me.

Did this recently and saw what appeared to be well creamed coffee from a Quicky Mart splash all over their windshield from the inside as they slammed on the brakes. :muscleflexing:

Honestly living in SF I kinda wish I had bought the Sport MT for hill assist. Never was an issue for me in with past trucks but with the laggy throttle response on this truck it can be a bit stressful.

Well, the move of the hand brake to the centre console should alleviate that problem for you. Practice using that while releasing the clutch the old skool method, before hill assist this was the technique. Just a little synchronization over and above the usual. One does not require hill assist...it's built in

If I'm in my beater, a clutch dump downshift plus handbrake. So, brakes with no brake lights.

If I'm in my non-beater, I just stay slow and inconvenience them.

No matter what, if they hit my vehicle in the rear, they're at fault.
