I did, was just looking for opinions. Especially about the heat thing, whether that much heat can damage a low quality lens like that (if that's the case, no need to try another one).

I haven't had any issues with heat. I'll keep an eye on the lens as time passes but I think they should be ok.

This is not related to this thread but I thought I would ask here first before searching or posting something new. I have LED license plate lights and they keep flickering. Anyone know why? the bulbs are maybe a month and a half old.

Just got a set of these for my '11 DCSB from TacomaBeast, and they're absolutely not plug 'n play. the LED DRL's have a cheap little connection that I'll have to splice into the factory harness. Anyone else have issues with this, or is it just the 05-11 version?

The 2014 just had 3 plugs, plugged them in and they worked.

    Are you sure?

My buddy has an 11 and got the same ones from TacomaBeast and they were plug and play. Super easy. We did the install the other night. Took all of 20 min.

Yes, truck does have factory DTRL, the double filament bulb that is also the turn signal. My TacomaBeast headlights came with one connection for the low/high beams, and one small red connection for the LED lightbar, which plugs into nowhere on the factory harness.

@schecter517 does your buddy have photos of the install by chance? Curious to see if mine are missing anything...

unfortunately he does not. I know there are 2 plugs, one for head lights and one for the turn signal. Then there should be a little wire taped to the side with a red plug, if I remember correctly, and the plug goes plugged in where the side marker goes. You need to remove the bulb from that pig tail and plug that connector in and then attach that pig tail in the hole. Kinda confusing but there is an LED chip on the side of the light so the stock bulb is not needed for the side marker. Hope that helps.

I always thought of getting a set of these then transferring my OEM lenses over to the aftermarket light and resealing. Both negating moisture buildup since a lot of people end up having poorly sealed eBay lights, and also then utilizing a higher quality lens. Or doing somewhat the opposite...buying a set of these and tranferring the guts to my OEM light. Bu that sort of negates buying them in the first place lol, and then you are left without a spare set of OEM lights should something go wrong.

I have thought about that too, I don't know that the OEM lenses would be a perfect fit on these housings? If I knew that they would, I would strongly consider doing it. Even if I can live with these small scratches/cracks, I don't think these will hold up over time to the sun (at least not as well as the factory lenses).

So I found these on Amazon. Just got delivered. They were the only plug and play LED's I could find. Since no modification was needed to install these my warranty is still solid. Obviously I will post some shots later tonight for light output. All the reviews on Amazon were positive so these should be awesome. And if they are not then they were only $25 so not a total loss. Anyway I will keep all of you up to date as time goes on like usual.

Try to get a nice shot of the stock bulb vs the LED side by side.
