Spent some time in the timeout room today. Built the wife a sewing/laundry folding table. Have shelves to build still on the underside. This adds to the workbench and shelving for gear I made previously.

Ordered up Timbren axle-less suspension and am beginning to plan out trailer build. Will have RTT mounted to it and have ability / room to carry dirtbikes as well as camp stuff.

    started building my rear deck/platform.

since i have a bedslide decided to use it as the storage drawer as well as the fridge slide as placing it on top of the platform makes it all too tall. platform will either be carpeted or coated. with L railing being powdercoated black with black hardware.

the fridge side of the of the platform will has a vertical support that is 1” off the bedslide to solve the load support im going to run a couple of roller hockey wheels that ride on the bedslide. that will be both load bearing and allow the bedslide to roll out when needed with no resistance.

ordering new aluminum extrusions for edging and

painted the bed platform, carpeted it, painted railings, and installed it with solar running. Because I was intent on using the bedslide as the fridge slide (placing it ontop of a platform wouldnt work - fridge too tall) I basically decided to use the slide as slim storage and the fridge slide. Downsides to this mean batteries and solar controller couldnt be hidden. Not the end of the world to me.

Im still waiting on the wheels that go on the vertical divider left of the fridge (they'll roll on the bedslide and support the front corner of the platform. This isnt for sleeping, or any major heavy duty work, just something to buy me more bed space after loosing some to bedslide and original solar box.

I would be interested to get your thoughts on the audio system. I was looking at that as well. You doing it yourself?

installed setup today. took about 3-3.5 hours. pretty straight forward and easy. would have been faster if i didn’t have to take front door panels off twice. one for speaker wasn’t hooked up and the one trim piece kept the window from rolling up.

only had them in for about an hour and like any other speaker i assume they’ll need to play in a bit.

    highs are remarkably better.
miss and lows are significantly fuller.
the added low end maybe makes the midrange feel a little less punchy than the factory. but i know that’s an illusion of how much better overall everywhere else is.

So, it doesn’t fall apart (distort), when you have it cranked on that particular song you enjoy?

Sound is pretty good, its taking some getting used to the increased low and high's as it makes the mids feel a little flat, however a week or so in and its warming up quite a bit.

In other news, added Timbren active bumpstops (removed the fox IFP bumpstops)

    IMG_5143.jpg

then went and got the truck dirty.
