You ever get down to the keys for lobster season? We usually go every year, but missed last year.

It's a pretty nice ramp as long as its not low tide...

They are built right here in NC! Expensive but built like tanks. If you ever get a chance to go ride in one you should. NC is #2 in the nation for boat builders second only to FL! Ya'll have a bunch of really sweet niche builders down there too.

I've had my eye on a Salt Marsh or an Ankona skiff for too long. Sucks having so many boat builders here to tempt me :( Speaking of niche boat builders, I've had 4 Gheenoes, awesome little boats!

I like the gheenoes interesting concept and pretty stable! I can't remember but there is someone making a kayak kinda like the gheenoe. Don't know of Salt Marsh or Ankona I'll have to look them up.

There's a guy on the Hobie Fishing FB page selling those Water Snakes already retrofitted for $310 shipped...but without battery. Bit pricy but I guess people are paying for the convenience of not having to do it themselves.

Down here you have to title it if it has a motor (electric or gas) regardless of HP.

Solo skiffs look sweet I just can’t convince myself to get one since for the price I could get a small boat... plus I hardly fish by myself

In NC up until a few yrs ago you didn't have to title, register, or put stickers on a boat unless it had a gas/diesel motor. Now anything with a motor/engine has to be registered and at that time titled as well. Non powered craft do not need a title. We can launch for free at any public ramp unless there is a fee to get into the park. Some city owned lakes etc charge a ramp fee at the location. You can register for either 1 or 3 yrs. It use to be like 36 bucks for 3 yrs now I think it's like 75 or something like that. Since we added the addition of needing a salt water fishing license they jacked up boat registration and added additional charge for salt water to pay for the game wardens.

I could of bought a decent used jon boat for the price I have in my JK Cuda HD and my gear + some rigging. Buy a hobie PA and you are in new territory. :anonymous:

I haven't had a boat in a number of yrs. But it is true usually selling boats you don't get a lot out of them.

Yeah I use to do that all the time. If I couldn't buy my next boat with what I made off the old one I wouldn't buy them. Most I got just needed a starting solenoid (which were just like old Ford's, a few buck) or a carb rebuild.

    Ummm :anonymous:
Yes! I was born down there so would go all the time growing up. You ever do bully netting for lobster?
Would like to if I get the chance. Florida definitely does! I have my eyes on a Hewe’s Redfisher or Lappy

Screw that, get one of these bad boys!

    https://youtu.be/ATQpdDlKUns

Bought my CS for $3500 and Gheenoe for $1200. Will sell for the same price I bought em at when the day comes lol

    Lol i get that reference
