Love the truck. Makes my rc look stock. Are you still liking that toolroll? I’ve been wanting to do that for awhile just hadn’t found a roll that i liked.

 

Thanks man I've put a lot of time and some hard earned dollars in her! So far I am liking it but I am only into it for about a week now. I have some adjustments to make to make it more user friendly in terms of keeping my sockets organized but I have a couple ideas!

Well I finally found some time and warm weather and did some flex testing!...More hammer...I need to trim more off the cab mount and trim the fender flares as well...the fenders are already cut 2 or 2.5 inches (don't remember how much I cut off haha)

This is the rear bumper hitting the tire while flexing...I thought it would hit just looking at it at ride height. No big deal just gotta cut it back a bit. I am going to add some steel when I trim the bumper so that I can add some mud flaps. I want to protect the truck from mud and mostly salt from getting all up in the bed sides and eating all my steel

 

If only you could keep the fenders intact. I like em. Looks sick though

 

Agreed man I like how it looks with them on...the tires fill the wheel wells so nicely. I am going to cut as little as possible off of them!

 

I wonder if you could just leave the flares and cut the fender up 3 inches and mount the flares back on so it retains the stock lines

 

I already cut the fenders themselves the problem is the tires rub the fender flares and if I was actually in a situation where I was crawling I'm pretty sure the tires would rip the fender flares off and on the process probably damage the fenders themselves. I am gonna try to maintain as much of the fender s the tires will allow!

How’s the gears working out for ya? Do you daily your truck?

 

The gears are incredible I am real happy with the drivability of the truck...it is my daily and I'm really happy with the truck right now...can't wait to get her back in the woods!

 

Are you still thinking about making the jump?

 

Ya man. I got the itch for 35s and the 4.88s beach season is upon us and I think if I did 35s and no gears I’d be bogging tooo much in the sand. It’s already tough with the 285s in the sand. I might need your help with what to purchase exactly to complete the gears and then maybe even a hand installing them if your up for it.

 

Also have you had to get it inspected since the 35s?

 

Nice rig, i also just went with 4.88s in my 5spd 4banger, except im running 33s. Havent got them in yet, but cant wait to see how the truck does with them! Did you also add a locker while you regeared?

 

Yeah you would hate it the truck with 35s and the 4.10s the truck has to work really hard...I can definitely help out with the regear process! Are you thinking open diffs or are you planning on a locker?

 

I can't speak for the 4.88 and 33 Combo but you are going to see a big difference in the low end and the clutch will ride much nicer with less skinny pedal input! I am not currently running a locker but I am considering adding a jdm air locker in the rear

 

I guess it would depend on the price difference.
