    throughout college and even a few years after I was a delivery driver so even back in the day I had instances that made me want a dash cam. A few times I used a sony cybershot digital camera but it was such a pain in the ass every day i would have to erase the memory card, every time i got in my truck I would have to turn it on and hit record. Id say it wasn't until maybe 2014 where the quality of video and price really came to a level I was ok with.

    Anyone else get this email? UPS is saying I owe some type of import fees? I've bought stuff from Canada before and never ran into this issue.

    @1bad2k,
    I don't understand that, why wouldn't there be that same fee for all those in the U.S. Very odd.

    Every time I buy something from the US, I usually get charged brokerage, duties (if any) and tax. UPS has historically been the worst for brokerage charges. USPS is usually the cheapest, if the US seller is willing to send USPS.

    I would have thought US residents buying from Canada (or anywhere outside USA), would also pay some sort of brokerage charge. I can't see UPS, FedEx etc. doing the brokerage for free.

    If this is the case that negates most of the savings for some of us.

    I don't expect em to do anything for free. Black box my car should've given me a full price before I paid. I don't negotiate after a deal is done whichever side of the deal I'm on. I won't accept the shipment if I have to pay COD. They can get it back to em while I dispute the charge through PayPal and then Visa.

    I agree with you. Whenever I buy from the US, the seller usually never charges the brokerage or duties. They usually tell me this is the buyer's responsibility, not the sellers. I just bought a lens from B&H Photo in NYC. They however, offer an option for Canadian customers for an all in price which includes brokerage, any duties and taxes. This is rare though.

    That seems a little shady to me. I have a feeling it's because I ordered 4 cameras and the total was $1,205. Like you mentioned, I probably wouldn't have had a problem with it if it would have been made known at the time of purchase. But to complete the sale, and then send the package for signature only (which I didn't request but I know can protect them for not much extra cost) and then tack on some C.O.D. charge is ridiculous. The package is basically going to be held ransom till I pay the ~$30. Lol I'll end my rant here, I guess I'm just a hardhead because I'll dispute the charge and then purchase them off Amazon for more just on principle....plus I could use up some gift cards!

    Sad part it, I was going to order another f800 pro I think. We'll see, maybe they will rectify the situation.

    I do alot of shipping some International for work. Had one held hostage from fedex not long ago going into canada. And i belive its due to the Value of your order maybe. Stuff i deal with is always above that so company expects it, but its either 1000.00 or 1500.00 but it might depend on the commodity. I say reach out and find out either way you got options!

    I only saw a ups email showing tracking nothing about fees but i be upset as well dropping that amount and being taxed with out prior knowledge.

    Hmm, I did not. I ended up buying 5 cameras for a total little under $1200. I will not be happy about any import fees.

    Yeah I'm afariad the value is the problem or else everyone is going to be receiving one of those emails lol. At first just a regular UPS quantum view tracking email came through yesterday, and then this today. Had I known, I would've made 2 or even 4 different orders, and still might have to! Lol

    One of the issues is that they do not make it clear they are in Canada; the domain is just .com, they charge in USD. I only realized they are in Canada after I got notification from my bank (I set alerts for international charges).

    Btw, depending on your credit card you could be stuck with foreign fees, even if the transaction was in USD.

    Has anyone been able to adapt the f800 pro where it can be mounted using the go pro mount? If so, any help would be appreciated as far As a walk through. I found threads on other cameras where people used a dremel but that scares me with the Price of this camera.
