You have time, do some more reading into as you can. You can install what you have and alway add the AAl later. Besides that will give you a reason to come back up for a mod tune up at drews. From what I have read most are adding the AAls

But yeah, I've read through a shitload of pages on two different threads, and seems like for the 2nd gen peeps that have caps, and even a lot that don't, seems like the general consensus is the AAL.

 

Nuno the only thing I’d say is it’d suck to have bro lean for much more than a week so if you can’t ad the leaf yourself it would be beneficial to have it with you so you can drive away in a squared away vehicle. You could have an AAL for each side for less than 200$ and you could easily return them for a refund if it ends up not being needed.

Main thing it levels the truck , go with what u have ordered for now if your ok with that nose high.

 

Nose high can be dangerous if driving at night it will mess with your headlights @Cativelense I would make sure you have anything you and drew might need to square you away in one day. I wouldn’t want to drive at night especially in the rain with screwed up headlight angles... especially if kids might be in the car.

He'll want to have his headlights lined back up again after the lift anyway. Any time you change the suspension geometry, either with a lift or with larger/smaller tires it needs to be checked.

It's pretty easy to adjust the headlights though. Just turn a bolt and it adjusts elevation. Pretty easy to do on a garage door or the side of a building

 

Turning the proper one, the other will do side to side

 

Headstrong, Wheeler's and Icon are supposedly made by the same company. Headstrong has the best price.

The Pro rear shocks measured like 24.125" extended which is longer than the regular length 5100s that are rated for 0-2".

Adjusting the headlights is part of the installation instructions for the kit.
