TC made the 5lug kit around the 6lug so any parts that you need can come off the 6lug

 

Yeah that's how I figured out it was possibly for me to make my own uppers. I only seem to find dirt king fabs version though. Does $100 seem about the right for price for a misalignment set?

 

If you need to buy all the hardware you could just drill out the taper and use standard misalignment. If you plan to never go stock again.

My uca uses a 1” uniball and 3/4” misalignment. So I use a standard 3/4” grade 8 bolt. You could go 5/8 if 3/4 eats away too much.

 

I do need all new hardware but dosent the taper add strength?

 

It’s just a way to key where your ball joint sits. Just a mating joint to fill the taper. Long travel company do it so you can go back to stock.

 

Just one thing to check is the distance from the top of your spindle to center of the uniball. Doing this way is cheaper but requires a few measurements first. Then you won’t be dependent on anyone’s specific custom machined parts and specialty bolts.

 

I think for know I'll get the tc taper adapter. I can get both for about $60 and I'll still have the ability to pick my misalignment spacers.

 

all 4 upper and lower misalignment plus steering ?

 

No just the adapters that conect the lower misalignment spacer to the spindle.

ORW did not carry the tapered ones when I needed some a couple years ago.
