Press fit. I made one with the thread pitch, but it's time consuming twisting it in/out. So I opted for a quick push in. Makes it easier for those NASCAR timed refuels.

Wait are we not supposed to insert the wire into the clip that also clips the gas door shut? It seemed like it was perfectly made for it... that's what I've been using.
