You can get a steel bumper for what it will cost to replace/paint an OEM bumper cover.

Yup, I would say time for a nice metal bumper.

I’m so sorry. It happened to me too, I took it to a car wash/detail place by my house and they were actually able to buff it all out and give her a wax for $60 bucks. It still had paper plates, I think they felt bad.

Try your luck with it, maybe you’ll get lucky. Admittedly, your damage looks worse than mine did though.

Sorry to see that. I would think Lowe’s has surveillance cameras? If you have a receipt with the time may be it can track who did it. I think will be worth it if you’re going to pull over $500 of your pockets, just saying.

Thanks everyone, going to look into a plate bumper but MPGs are important to me.

Oh and there’s no way this is going to buff out. It actually gouged out some of the plastic.

That sucks. Guess at least it wasn’t the sheet metal. Cheapest thing to do is get touch up paint. It won’t be that noticeable. I surely wouldn’t spend $1k+ for that.

After the urinal picture I had to share this. Im one of the guys who will park away from everyone else on an end spot. What ive discovered is time and time again people will pass 10 other spots to park beside you. This is me parking on an end spot a couple inches from the curb and leaving 3+ feet of space on passenger side. Run in gas station for 3 minutes and come out to find this....20171219_173241.jpg

Like a mirror image of the damage I had in May of last year on my then brand new TRDOR. Was also a hit and run while parked..

I think the insurance claim total ended up being around $1700.

Mine may have been a little more extreme. There were scuffs as far up as the headlight.

This thread is getting my blood boiling. Always those jackasses who don't give a shit about their ride.

I try to park in really inconvenient places or if necessary try to park beside other nice cars and trucks that seem like they're driven by a normal human being.

At work I'm part of the usual "end of the lot crew". There's me, a Challenger, an Infiniti Q50, a Benz and this brand new Civic that looks like it's car-washed every day.
