The backstory is that I asked my wife to drive my tacoma from the restaurant to the house. She said if I got this she could see herself using it. So she complained that she couldn't raise the seat and the steering was too high and the mirrors weren't right but then she drove it aggressively around corners and slammed a 6"X6"X3' timber all over the bed along with a bunch of scrap lumber and a tool I had left back there. I got home and started looking at bed mats since the bed liners are so slick on these trucks.

Next, I remembered that the cargo organizer net I bought for my C7 worked pretty well on that ride and thus I temp trial mounted it on the tacoma. First concern is the sun will toast it quickly but I don't plan on just leaving it there all the time. Also some paracord on my track mounts and quick clips on the net with bottom tension to the rear D rings in the back might enhance the net shape and minimize swinging. Ok, I did not do an extensive search to see if this has been done a hundred different ways so just share your thoughts and criticisms if you have any reactions. If this might work for you I will do the history search and find the ebay seller location for the net. Open fire!

She did that with my Z06 back in 2001 and found herself doing over 110 without any ideas she was speeding and she said never again!

What part of your write-up do you want to make sense of?? The cargo net thing? The wife's driving? Help us out.

Just get the bed mat and call it a day. She didn't crash so it's all good!

If it works go ahead, I just use a bed extender folded in to keep things from rolling everywhere.

Of your 2 options , buy bed mat or purchase new wife , I would expect the bed mat to end up the more economical choice

BTW that's not a bed liner that's the actual composit bed. I have the bed Mat and it makes a huge difference on things sliding around. Sometimes it's a good thing but if your trying to pull something heavy out of the bed it can be a pain in the ass.

I heard you can buy a wife on the internet. Might be more expensive than a bed mat though. The divorce of your current wife might also be expensive. I think bed mat is a better option over all, but you have options.

Try out the net, but certainly get a bed mat. It's one of the best adds I have done!
