Where to get this ceiling storage net from?

I'm really.loomingndirnthis part that I seen posted on Pinterest. Does anyone know where I can order this from?

 

Whoa, that's awesome. I was waiting for the mesojdm overhead plate, but these look safer to hit your head on and just as functional.

I'm gonna order one right now for my rig. I work in the oilfield and am always carrying around lots of extra clothes and all kinds of junk in my truck. It's also my daily driver so when i get home it becomes a pain in the ass to take my dogs anywhere or store anything else in my back seat with clothes everywhere. I figured this would really help keep things organized. Let me know hoe you like yours once it comes in.

 

This might be perfect for some of my work gear. Getting sick of cycling stuff in and out of the cab, bed, floors, when the weekend fun comes. My only concern would be how much you could actually get in between the roof and the netting. If it would sag to much with only a minor amount of stuff.

 

I looked at the website and they make a few different designs other than the one i posted.

F this product and everything about it.

1. The image shows the product mounting across the handles. I did that first to put it up there, and when I tightened it enough to hold, my driver's side handle popped out with a broken clip. Now I need to order a new clip. It also tore the headliner slightly when it failed.
   
2. Before I tightened it and broke my handle, it's clear that the netting will be resting on top of the heads of the passengers.
   
3. If the previous two aren't an issue and you still install the way it shows, you can't use the handles in the back.

There are literally NO installation instructions. No one picked up when I called the installation line. I work during the week, I can't call during business hours.

The instructions for the T4R are kinda half relevant.

The kit included too much hardware, and was completely unclear what should / shouldn't be used. How hard is it to print out instructions for a $200 kit?

Two of the loop mounts didn't fit with the included hardware. The other ones did. Weird. It's not like it matters anyways, the included screws aren't self-tapping. When you drill the holes to use them anyways, you get metal bits all over your cab. I did one that way, said fuck it, and switched to using self-tapping screws I had on hand.

The disassembly required is way harder than the video for the T4R implies. I've put more than 5 hours into this, and give up. I'm just sending it back.

Self tapping? Lol wait into what?!

 

Nothing's wrong with self-tapping screws if they're used right. In this case, the kit expects you to permanently mount brackets to support the net on the B pillar. That requires you to drill holes in the B pillar, 2 on each per side. Since they're permanent brackets that won't get removed, I see nothing wrong with self-tapping screws.

The company instead includes these large metal screws that are coarse-threaded and require a large hole to be drilled to work.


I got the net up last night. It doesn't fit anyways. The straps in the back don't have anywhere to mount to (they're too short to reach the C pillar mounts it includes, and the anchor mounts it wants you to use for the coat hooks don't fit). The straps in the middle are fine on the handles, but don't tighten them too much or you'll break your handle. The net is too wide in the front for the front straps to be useful. The net sags to the point that I can't see out the rear window because I can't get it to tighten enough up front.

They open at 9am Mountain time (it's 9am EST now), so we'll see how fast they reply to my email I sent them earlier.


I'm hopeful that they just sent me the wrong net. It's a quality net, but there's absolutely no getting around how bad the installation sucks.

Edit: Looks like Ed with Raingler just replied, that's a quick turnaround. I'm hopeful we can figure things out.

 

Man i sure hope i don't have these same issues I'll be pissed. I've been having a lot of issues with companies emailing me back over custom orders. Seems like now days no one is willing to go that extra mile for their customers.

The way I was mounting mine is different than the above; they included 2 extra mounts with mine so I think I was overcomplicating it. I'll try remounting their way and report back. I'm hoping I'll get a better result going their way.

Edit: I had no success, the rear mounts just aren't working. I think they are uploading a new video. I'm working with Raingler for a solution now.

Doesn't matter. It's garbage, don't buy anything from Raingler.

I ended up sending mine back. They refused to fully refund me, only giving me my money back for the net and refusing to refund me for the mounts.

It's a poorly-designed product and a crappy company. They care until you ask for a refund, and then they're unhelpful.

 

If in the description it says it’s for a 2017 DCLB and it doesn’t fit, then hells yeah they owe you a refund!!!

I like the rear "attic" model...for hats and umbrella which I normally keep on the floor. Anyone install one?

 

holy shit yeah let's all drill holes in our major impact structures so we can hang a hammock which will bounce stuff off our heads every time we hit a bump, this is a great idea with no downsides at all

 

Video for attic shows no holes drilled...bouncing stuff, dont know.

 

So, this thread might be long dead, but has anyone found an alternative solution to some sort of overhead storage??

I haven't found a ton of products available but I'm hoping to find something that can carry light stuff to keep it out of the way...
