It's not too pressurized but I'll let it soak for a good 20 min front, middle and back of the underbelly. Then take it to a wash and it should all come off pretty easily. Get in there nice and deep like lil buddy

@Mynameisbrandin and in case he wanted to relive the glory of the moment, I made sure to grab a video of the recovery. As if we hadn't given him a hard enough time about it. Unfortunately YouTube stole ma pixels while uploading.

They're an expensive pain in the ass. Have obscene storage requirements -- unless you're going to keep it mounted 24/7. Even with a ceiling pulling system mine adds considerable time to my flight plan when I want to go camping with it. Add a copious amount of weight and require a dedicated rack to mount them on. Once it's up, you're adverse to packing up and driving anywhere else.

That said, set up and tear down is pretty easy with some practice. They're super convenient in that you can store your bedding inside. I've found them to be pretty solid is high winds and rain. Much more confidence and comfort than a ground tent in that regard. Set up process is something like: find enough room to park where you can extend the tent in the first place. Orient the truck properly and get it level. Take off the straps and cover. Release more straps. Extend the ladder. Extend the tent. Insert poles for windows. There's a lot of climbing around during this process.

Biggest reason for me deciding to get one was getting up off the ground. Seems like everything on the ground in Texas (and dessert Southwest wants to kill you). Plus a built in mattress is awfully nice

It was... You seriously need to come out next time and stretch the legs on your Taco. The trails are as easy or hard as you choose to make it.

Main reason we got one too was to get off the ground. Its nice to get out of the sand when we goto the PINS (have a good system of getting the sand off our feet before climbing up in the RTT), keep away from snakes in west Texas (I have a rattle snake license plate for a reason ;) ), and stay up high when a bear comes through your camp (yeah that happened due to another group of campers leaving food out overnight.....it was fucking scary to hear a black bear breathing in and out less than 10 feet from my tent with only a 9mm and an air horn as defense).

Our RTT is a Tepui brand with an aluminum bottom. Once you've set it up and break it down its pretty easy. We've gotten our time down to about 10 mins both deploying and break down. It is a heavy son of a gun at about 180lbs. It does sleep 3 very comfortably but there are smaller versions available that save on weight and size.

Getting the RTT on and off the vehicle's was a royal pain in the ass at first and unfortunately my shop garage doesn't have the head room to allow for a pulley system where I can leave it hoisted up when not in use and allow for it to be dropped down onto the roof racks. We had to ask a friend to come over and assist us with getting the RTT back on top of the vehicles when we were ready to use them again and that got old really quick. SOOOOOOOOOOOO ...... here is what we came up with for us to store the RTT and also get it easily on and off the vehicles:

    IMG_1098.jpg IMG_1050.jpg

As you can see from the 2nd photo, I took this picture from the same level as our T4R's roof line. We can slide it over from the platform we built to the roof and for my Tacoma it slides over to the the rack I have. The T4R requires two (2) people but for my Tacoma I can do it myself. Overall we do love the RTT. The memory foam mattress is very comfortable and our smaller dog sleeps with us in tent whilte the larger dog enjoys the entire back seat of the Tacoma or the T4R.
