Yup, I'm waiting for what I want. Sounds like you wanted the same thing.

Here's something interesting... Hendrick Toyota in Merriam Kansas (Western Kansas City) has 2 MT Sport ACs on the lot and 9 others in their network. Only one is an 18.

I spent 2 months on line looking for my truck. I was looking within 500 miles of home for a red SR with painted bumpers and rear slider. Wanted to keep it simple. All I could find was white SRs. Finally one turned up in the Atlanta area and while I was getting ready to go get that one another showed up 120 miles from me in Columbus. I got that one instead. I had dealers trying to locate one for me but then try to sell me something I did not want. I gave up messing with them and found it on my own. Im glad I held out and got what I wanted.

The manual towing package doesnt have the larger alternator, engine oil cooler? (You would see a small radiator up front). I think it does but I’m not sure. Went for an AT instead.

The Towing Package does include those extra Goodies on the Manual and even used to include a larger battery too, the only difference between the Auto and Manual towing package is obviously a Transmission Cooler.

Thats what I thought too. Some dealers are calling it a “tow package”, but its only their own version of it - without the oil cooler, Toyota is only rating the towing capacity at 3500lb vs the 6000lb rating the official package provides.

You have to watch who if offering the tow package, dealer or factory. The dealer will try to sell you the tow package, and only install the hitch and wiring. I have a MT with factory tow package it has all the
extra's except the trans oil cooler.

I have owned 4 OR Tacoma's and the Factory Tow Package was a Required Option, I think that was a regional thing. If I am not mistaken, the 2018 V6's all have the Tow Package as standard equipment.

Lol. Longo Toyota ordered me a MGM TRD Sport Access Cab over the phone in 1 minute. I literally asked if they could order one for me, girl on the phone said if I wanted to be put on the waiting list for MT's. She took my name, a day later she called and said it would be ordered in January. 2 months later not a peep from the dealer, but with the help of my cousin who works at a Toyota dealer in my town found a White Sport at Toyota of Santa Maria. Got a call from Longo Toyota 2 weeks after I had purchased my current truck that they had received the MGM truck that I had originally wanted.

Ok. Now buyatoyota (New England version) will only let me build and price an SR, SR5 or PRO. Once again, WTF!?

The Nissan Frontier is starting to look like an option.

Change your zip code to a different area. The build site really only lets you choose what is readily available for your particular area right now.

Those wheels look great on your Truck, seriously considering those.
