Here's a rather funny story where I did actually get permission...

There's a dive bar near my old house that I used to frequent. The owner and his family are really great people, and his son kept his 1993 Chevy Z71 on the property. The truck did not run too good and had been sitting for a year or so by this time, but it looked good, and that was all I needed.

So, I stopped by the bar one day and asked the owner (this older man who has large beard and kinda looks like Charlie Daniels). He told me to go for it. So, I go outside and start snapping photos of this green Z71 with my SLR, and the next thing I know this blue Tahoe pulls up. This guy, who rented an apartment on the property from the Charlie Daniels lookalike, was driving the Tahoe. He rolls down his window, but before he could even ask what I was doing, I blurted out the following...

"The guy with the beard who looks like Charlie Daniels said I could take pictures of this truck!"

He says "alright," rolls up his window, parks the Tahoe, and goes inside his apartment without another word...

The same bar owner let me film the 1972 Addison central A/C units at his bar, for my YouTube channel. The bar is fairly large, so it has two A/C units. One of them was backed into by a drunk driver, which physically dented the condenser, and the damn thing still works.

I filmed the Addison units back in 2011. It is now 2018 and they are still there!

 

I just saw you were pointing the laser thermometer gun at the vents and thought you were showing me the temp...

 

64.7? You sure you're A/C is working right? Or is that right after you started the truck?

 

And that temp is why the dash is cracked. I've been trying to be good about putting a cover in the windshield, but have been lazy recently. Also have windshield and all windows tinted, which helps a bit.

 

Pretty soon you're gonna have one hell of a head unit!

 

The current reading is the 18.8, I think

 

There's no way in hell his A/C is blowing 18. Coldest mine has gotten is 38...

Last night I was talking about an amazing young woman named Laura who I went to high school with. Laura was born with spina bifida, and as a result uses a wheelchair. I have confirmed that she does in fact have a driver's license, and her daily driver is a specially adapted 2013 Toyota Sienna!

 

That does not surprise me...

I don't really have much in the way of Isuzu products...

 

I'm running the Pioneer AVIC-Z130BT. It's old but still works great, bluetooth, aux, ipod, sd card, nav, backup cam, and dvd playback(bypass). Won't replace it until it breaks and i suspect it'll be a while. Good choice on the NEX series.

 

Is yours compatible with a backup camera?
