I haven't been back here in a while. Is this the new tune Matt promised after Valentine's day? When is this happening for the 2018?

The manual release happened yesterday for the gen3 less 2018. Mat said he would post the 2018 later that day(Saturday). Waiting for the 2018 tune update.

Anybody on here with stock gears/tire size running 1.03B at altitude, with weight (RTT, bumpers, armor)?

Just went for an 8 mile test run on the 91 tune, needless to say the 34s feel like stock tires now. Truck absolutely has no real hesitation from a stop anymore and definitely will turn the 34s over 1st and 2nd gear.

one thing i noticed immediately is how easy it is to spin up the motor above 4k rpm in 1st gear. couldn't do it well on 1.03 for whatever reason, it went flat about 3k or so. this really helps me get going strong from a stop, since i like to spin up the flywheel and let 2nd gear grab that and go. huge difference. can't wait to unload the bed and try it light.

I've been purposely short shifting into second, the truck picks it up like a champ on 1.03B.

@Shellshock also reported that he can basically take off in 2nd W/no issues. I've been doing that as well on occasion, and you don't have to rev/slip the crap out of it any more. Reverse is even easier to use, although that gear is too high.

This version is very nice. Barely have my toe in it in 6th gear - still running the PC though I may pull it off now. Traction control is a lot busier now in 1st gear, with four adults and AC on it still pulls nicely. It allowed me to pass a Sunday driver with a strong pull from 40-70 in third w/AC, four adults and a bunch of gun gear/ammo.

Another observation I had when doing some rips up through the gears on this tune - When heavy on the throttle, the "kick" at 3500 was far less noticeable than before. After thinking about that, it's more likely that the truck is already pulling hard when you get to that rpm rather than the effect was purposely muted by Mat somehow. The dyno pics would seem to support that.

I too was going into second a little early to see how it felt and it was super smooth and no ball or clunk either, and reverse is definitely much more usable.

You just gave me a nasty flashback - that horrid "clunk-clank" if you didn't get the 1-2 just right on the stock tune.

I don’t have MT, but hows this helping with the rev hang? Eliminated?

If we ever get to point where this setup pulls like the 2GR did in my '12 Rav4 - holy crap. I know that thing was ~700lbs lighter, but the power was soo smooth. For a small grocery-getter dull AF vehicle, that thing was a rocket.

Yep I just put 75 ish miles mixed Highway City back road driving, and of all the 1 2 shifts I only had one have a minor clunk. I literally thought to myself now my passengers won't think I suck at driving a manual LOL.
