Hello fellow Taco owners! I am having a problem with my low tire pressure light, in which that it will not turn off.

Every time I turn my truck on, it blinks for a couple minutes before coming solid, and the thing is that my tire pressure is perfectly fine (which I have checked plenty of times). When I took it to NTB and Drivers Auto for inspection, they could not figure it out for some reason.

Any suggestions to why it is happening?

    Thanks.

Fill up all your tires including the spare tire. If that doesnt work just go to tire shop get the sensors reset

The sensors have about a 10 year life expectancy. If topping off all 5 tires doesn't do it, they may be going out.

BAMFTACO I tried getting the sensors reset, so I will go ahead and check the spare for sure then. Thank you!

09's have no sensor in spare. Turn on truck hold reset otton under steering column, see if that works then. Did you just get new tires and rims? New sensors?

I'm guessing dead batteries in the sensors - it's that Texas heat

This is easy, one of your sensors is toast. Go replace it or all of them they are cheap on Amazon.

In 2009 they started to take them out of the spare. Some 2005 had them, some 2009 might have them, and some of the newer 2009 do not. From when I looked up mine a while back.
OP mine did the same thing. I tried resetting them with the button, filled them all up including spare. Then took it down to american tires and they checked the sensors for free turns out one of the batteries died in the TMPS. I bought a set of 5 Denso ones off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQ05U24/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Since Denso makes a lot oem stuff for the Tacoma and american tires wanted like $80 per sensor.

Blinking light means one or more dead sensor(s).

    Don't think so.

Pretty sure you can just look at it to know if it's a conventional valve stem or one with a sensor.

Sounds like a dead battery, sensor batteries are only good for about 8 yrs I have the same problem. I just live with it for now.

If I would have listened to all the "sensor is toast" comments I would have been out a couple hundred dollars.

My truck did the same thing one morning. I filled up all the tires including spare and reset the tpms per manual but nothing seemed to work. Later that week I ended up going out of town for dinner (about 45min drive) and my tpms light turned off.

Before you go replacing anything set everything to factory manual setting and take the truck for a good drive, the tpms may need time to register the proper psi. Also tires heat up as you drive which affects your tire pressure.

My issue started when I put on new larger tires. The truck was purchased used and had two sets of tires, stock and set of snows. Following the manual, I can't get it set to the new tires. I read somewhere that the ECU only has two memory slots for readings. If that's true then that would explain my problem. Anyone hard of that?
