The 18 pro grill comes without the part installed. The sensor garnish is sold separately. The 16-17 garnish will fill the hole.

If you buy the Chinese grill with the individual letters it will accept the sensor and the Toyota garnish to cover the sensor. Search this thread, I have pictures that I posted.

Okay good to know. I wasn't sure if the China ones would accept the sensor or not so I just placed the order again through a local Toyota dealer part's website. If this order doesn't go through I'll buy a China one but I think it will. (Stupidly) I assume that the China one will fade or look worse over time compared to the OEM but maybe I'm just delusional as I'm sure the OEM one is cheap and built in China too.

When I bought my Chinese grill the price on the OE was more than twice what I paid. The price has come way down to around $170 for the '18 grill so the smart money would be the Toyota grill.

I believe these are only available for the 3rd gen, but the 2nd gens do have their own Pro grille.

So you ended up paying roughly $50 more than the Chinese grill and got oe quality and didn't have to wait a month to get it. :)

    My
my order now says “backordered” for the grill and the garnish.

Has anyone found a reliable source for these parts?! Everywhere is sold out and backordered that I’ve tried. Because even with the Chinese grill we still need the OE garnish, right? I have a 2018 with TSS.

Try calling royal south scion/Toyota in Indiana, I’ve had great luck with them. Got the garnish just a week ago too. I placed it all online and I’m in SoCal. The way things are going you should try calling them.

Which Chinese one did you buy? Does it require the garnish to work correctly with TSS?

I was just looking at the "Cali Raised" one and was going to buy it thinking it was higher quality until I read the thread on here and saw that it was just the China one being resold for double. Cali Raised states theres can run with TSS with no garnish.

Just tried to order another 2018 OEM one and garnish from a different dealer. It seems like these OEM ones are no longer available anywhere - pretty annoying. I guess I'll just hurry up and wait. Too risky with the Chinese ones it sounds like some people get a different product than others got from the same seller. I just want OEM -_-

Check back on my posts, the Chinese one with the removable letters works perfect. The garnish should be used because it protects the radar sensor from damage. The sensor is a very expensive part so spend the $50 bucks to buy one. I got my grill areyourshop seller on Amazon and ebay. Read back a few pages and get familiar on how the grills differ. I posted pictures on how the garnish fits into the faux grill.

Just browsed their store on eBay and couldn't find it and also on Amazon. Have a link from your purchase?
