Sorry to hear that. What made you want to make the trade? Shiny and new type of thing?

A few years ago I traded in what had been (up until my new tacoma) my favorite vehicle of my life. Saw something else and in one afternoon had convinced myself that I want to trade. I was an idiot. Not only did I trade in my vehicle but ended up not even getting what I had originally wanted to trade for. Bad deal all around. I learned from that experience and said never again.

When I bought this taco, I researched and shopped for over a year before I pulled the trigger.

bummer man. i've kinda been considering a tundra, but idk really. I still like my tacoma though, so not sure if id trade for a tundra. The V8 and all the space would be really nice but not sure if I really want a truck that big with poor gas mileage again.

I almost made that mistake a couple weeks ago myself when the 0% financing came about. Although all the money i would loose from my lift, stereo, ect would just hurt too much. Now if only i could convince the old lady to trade her stupid honda in for a Tundra...:p

Why do you not like the tundra? I am "entertaining the idea" of trading in the tacoma and getting a rock warrior.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .

I have had several Tundras and Tacomas over the years and my last trade was from a 2007 Tundra 5.7 to a 2009 4.0 Tacoma and I love this Taco.

I do miss the power of the 5.7L at times though. The 5.7 will do a better job pulling that horse trailer though.

EDIT ... Where in WV ?? .... My first college was Marshall.

Are you planning on going offroad?

Because if you intend to wheel, trading a Taco for a Tundra is completely silly.

no wheeling, i want the RW because the grille and front bumper is colormatched while the rear bumper is black instead of all that being chrome. I also like the wheels and bfg's on it too

Wow! I was just driving past a Toyota Dealership, and I thought to myself...

"If I won the lotto or had lots of money, I could just stop and tell them to put me into a different color tacoma and I could be out of there in like 1 hour..."

Sorry, about the Tundra decision. I hope you can get your taco back.

In the future, ask us, we'll set you straight...

Cheaper to order the parts and just do the swaps yourself. A trade will probably soak you more than the cost of those parts on lost value/payments.

Sorry to hear man! Just rememeber it's more of a "need" for the Tundra. When the time is right you can get a Taco again, maybe a dedicated trail rig too!

yeah i probably could get parts cheaper and just swap them out on a regular tacoma than it would be to get the RW. i know ill lose out if i trade in the tacoma, but i have some positive equity on it right now and im going to try and sell it privately first...thats IF i decide to get rid of it

Sounds like you needed the Tundra. Save up some cash and buy a used Tacoma for a daily driver although have two PU trucks is pretty excessive IMO.
