I managed to get the frame, and anything else that needed to be painted black, done today.

Tomorrow, I’ll get it rolling again, roll it out of my way, and start on the body.

Most of that is “dust” that will sweep up. That said, my garage floor is toast. It needs to be re-done, so I don’t worry about it. It’s on the list...

Unfortunately, I need to tow my Wife’s broken XJ Home from PA tomorrow. It’s at her Mom’s house right now. So, there goes the weekend. I go back to work on Monday, so the body will take a little longer than the rest of the project has.

Maybe you should do a couple coats of POR-15?

I have some. Just don’t feel like brushing it on.

That, and it needs a rough surface, it’s not all pitted, and I REALLY don’t feel like blasting all This stuff.

I’m getting it down to pitted bare metal. Just throwing the converter on just on case.

Sweet build. One suggestion I would make is to add something to tension the front jack against so it doesn’t rattle when you are towing it. The first trip I had out with mine in the dirt that jack drove me crazy.
This is a bad pic but you can see where i tension the jack and it’s silent now.

The painting continues. The dry times are killing me. The rust converter has a 24 hr top coat time.

If all goes well, I should be able to start putting everything back together Wed night after work,

Since I seem to always be sitting around waiting for something to dry... I figured I might as well put a fresh coat of flat black on the wheels.

Since these have seen trail time on my truck, they needed it.

Sure thing. You know how it is trying to show light output in a photo. I’ll give it a shot though

Sure thing I know it’s rough. I’m mostly curious about the reverse light output. They would be great on my tow pig with the reverse lights build in and they will fit in the boxes I have on it already, and quicker and easier than adding additional lights. It’s a lotta ass to back up in the dark
