Yup, to level it out a bit more after the 3 leaf + overload.

The logic was, the kit would lift the front 1.75", and I didn't want a bro lean. So then I would add the 3 leaf to bring the rear up too, but I do still plan to haul stuff once in a while so I wanted to leave the overload, which would mean that the rear would go up 2". The 1/4" spacers up front were brought in so that it would be a close to 2" lift all around after it was all done (in theory at least, the spacers probably bring the front to shy of 2.25" of total lift).

Ok, so it sounds like my plans are about right. I tow, so I want near the factory rake. No spacers + overload should get me there.

I have a shell, sleep platform, tools and dog platform on back seats. I estimate that's about 200ish lbs maybe more. I'm doing aal w/overload and no front spacers. Right now it sits 1/2" high in back on stock suspension, I want more rake I don't want mine level.

The 3 leaf aal with overload removed is 1.5" lift? Correct?

How much lift with the overload left in place?

Looks hot. Just curious, why the 1/4" spacers up front?

Yeah looks pretty dang level, you might get a little bro lean with a load huh.
I think I'm going no spacers, triple leaf in back with overload. I have an aluminum shell on mine and carry stuff fairly often.

Heres a photo of @2004TacoBill rig, progressive aal, no overload, and a 1/2inch top spacer. Might help someone out

I'm hoping the AAL will keep the sag minimal thanks to a firmer spring, but yea if it gets out of hand and the bro lean is crazy when hauling gear, I'll probably pull the spacers out -- fortunately the fronts were super easy compared to the AAL!

Yeah man it sounds like you only want to mess with the rear one time. Nice to know the fronts are easy. Sure is some eye candy under the fenders.

Honestly, the kit by itself isn't a bad install. I'm not too experienced with mechanical stuff outside of the usual oil changes, brakes, etc. and I thought the TRD kit stuff wasn't too bad after my dad walked me through what I needed to do. Rears shocks were less work than the fronts just cause there's a lot less to disassemble to get them out/in, but leafs... Different story.

Will someone explain "the rake"? I'm unfamiliar with the term, thanks.

The height difference between the front of the truck and the rear. Most people here refer to a lower back end as "bro lean". Most here like it level or the rear a little higher than the front (rake).

You want a little rake so that when you load up the bed a bit it doesn't go all bro on you.
