Having Trouble Finding My Perfect Tacoma

Hey everyone. First off, I do realize I can just get it ordered but I’d prefer to view and test drive something with the actual packages (minus ideal color) before ordering.

The Toyota build tool is terrible. I’ve used zipcodes all across CA and it won’t even let me build a DC SB 4x4 Sport, let alone add any packages.

Cars.com and CarGurus showed nothing available for my spec.

So, I stopped at 2 dealers today and both said they couldn’t find one to transfer over. We have a ton of dealers here in NorCal too. Am I missing something here or is Toyota just not building this exact spec for dealer lots?

Here’s what I’m trying to find:
2018 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4
Double Cab
Short Bed
Silver Sky Metallic
Tech package
Premium Package w/ Leather

Any insight here would be much appreciated!

When looking at the TRD Sport section, it is available. Although there is no mention if DC SB 4x4 Tech+Premium comes in Silver Sky. So just a bit stumped there.

Thanks for that! Looks like it just doesn’t allow that configuration for my state.

 

I can build it in th southeast. I think the issue might be with the interior color. Go with black and ash with the silver exterior to get the premium package.

So Toyota does make it, just not shipped to CA yet or in the near future.

 

If you're not too dead set on a Silver Sky, there is an MGM with your other requirements in Eugene.

I searched cars.com with a 500 mile radius of Phoenix and then another search 500 mile radius of Portland. Those are probably your only options.

I used a LO zipcode and got it to show as part of the Premium Package.

Haha yeah I had the same question at first! Again, not a fan of that builder tool.

 

I won't sell Ya this one. It is a 2017 with 23,500ish. No leather...

 

Seriously. I went to a couple dealers this past weekend and as soon as I told the salesmen they didn't have what I wanted on the lot, they immediately shifted their interest to other customers. I get that it's a busy sales weekend, but neither dealer showed interest in even taking a deposit. I guess I'll have to stop at another during a slow weekday!
