    Happened to a co-worker couple years ago.

    He had bronchitis. Went to bathroom little after midnight and had a coughing spell and passed out.
    Fell on edge of bathtub when passing out. Broke 5 or 6 ribs and punctured a lung.

    Only reason he didn't die is his wife heard him ripping down shower curtain when he fell.

    Oh, and hospital had to put him in a semi-coma- state as he still had to deal with the bronchitis he had to start with.
    Guess you can't have coughing fits with several broken ribs/punctured lung. :eek:
