Really? Wonder if that's just a Tacoma thing because the 1996 Limited 4Runner I got my front differential from was 4.30 - I do regret not taking the rear pumpkin.

 

I meant for first gen tacos, I'd believe 4runners would have 4.30 cause it was a common ratio for them. You'd need a taco housing and a 4 runner diff then. Or regear so it doesn't feel like you're driving an old City bus.

I'm aware I felt the worst of it driving my grey truck before it went under the knife. Imagine 280k mile 4cyl, poor maintenance record, auto transmission, 4.10 gears, 33" mud terrains.... It was almost dangerously slow. I gave up on being nice to it since I was just gonna take it apart and started flooring it everywhere at every chance in ECT mode.

 

Nice work. I saw the hose kit at Summit Racing for $70, did you find it cheaper anywhere else?

 

I get about 10 feet per gallon now that the truck is 4x4, has oversized tires, floor it everywhere, and I have ECT on all the time. Once I get my v6 truck restored and I sell it I'm probably going to pick up another (much lower mileage) v6 truck to swap the drivetrain from.

Still debating whether I should keep the Auto or swap to Manual.

I already know 90% of your answers will be do a Manual swap. Lol.

I was thinking 500 for the whole assembly drives straight but has a small crack by the leaf spring perch on the passenger side. Was going to sell each axle for 50 and the 3rd for 500. But if you want the whole thing I'll do 500 complete once I get the tundra axle under my truck

 

Now my OCD kicked in and I have to check that now...

 

I mean nothing wrong with the auto. It's nice around town which seems to be what you will be doing mostly anyways. Not as fun or fast but still nice.

 

I have a manual 32s and geared at 4.10 getting about 15 miles to the gallon can't complain one bit.
