This is my friends 2003 3.4 4x4 4 door taco.

About a month ago I installed the blower/fuel pump/LC-1 Wideband/boost gauge. It ran fine after all that and today I installed the URD tuner box thing. I ran all the wires right(because I rechecked them 4 or 5 times) then I started it and it ran fine with no check engine light or no problem.

But after eating dinner I was going to drive it back to his house and now it won't start. I have the fuel line off the 7th injector and thats how I know no fuel is coming out after I turn the key or try to start it.

So I checked spark and fuel. Well its getting spark but no fuel. Checked the fuses and the relay and still nothing.

So any help, also do these trucks have a fuel pump reset button?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

The ECU will not turn on the fuel pump until it sees an RPM signal coming from the engine.

The RPM signal will not pass through the URD PCU if it does not power up with the ECU.

When you turn the key to the run position does the CHECK ENGINE light come on?

If not you likely have a blown EFI fuse preventing the ECU from getting power.

If it does come on, double check your wiring and I hope you did not use those splicing connectors because that will do it every time.

would the fuse for the fuel pump be popped?

or are the injectors plugged or dirty?

I just put a code reader on it and it got nothing.

I checked the fuses and its not the injectors because I'm not getting fuel to the fuel rails. I can't hear the pump kick on like I could with any of my mustangs.

I'll post pictures of the fuses I checked to see if you guys see something I over looked.

hmm. well chances are, if you cant hear it kick on and there is no fuel getting to the rails, its a probably the pump. bad connection on the pump (+ and -)? maybe the pump just shit the bed?

just remember that our fuel pumps dont work like the mustangs...they only pump when we crank the engine. unlike the mustangs when the car is first given power.

Even when I crank on it I get nothing. Taking the fuel line off the 7th injector I should get fuel coming out of it when I crank on it.

is it possible to bypass the fuel pump and use a small gas tank and gravity feed the system just as a test to see if it is the problem?

Did you start it up after installing the pump and before you did anything else?

Is there any chance you got the fuel lines crossed up when you reinstalled the tank?

You can gets the URD PCU by connecting your PC to it. If you can get a connection it is powering up when you go key on.

Your pictures seem like you don't have the PCU installed. Did you remove it? If so and you still have this no start problem it is not likely the problem. Focus on the pump.

You can call URD Tech Support if you need help.

also make sure to have someone have their ear to the gas cap and when you turn the key to the ON position, you should hear the fuel pump whine a bit
