    The other issue is our licenses are fresh only......hah. :( anyone up to showing a 9yr old some salt water fish?

    Look into your local laws in NC if the kid is under 13 (I believe) and fishing with someone that has their license they do not need one. Also NC is only 15 bucks extra to add saltwater to your regular license.

    I was coerced by @rogs6266 to call the shop I ordered my Hobie from for an update. He got my boat a few days ago but is still waiting on the 180 drive upgrade. He didn’t want to tease me with the boat and I wouldn’t be able to peddle it yet so he was waiting until everything showed before calling me.

    Now the wait is worse because I know the boat is there...like getting new wheels for the truck but waiting on tires!

    I’ve got all my stuff from the past yak...but I’d rather peddle that bitch on its maiden voyage. The original drive is with it but I upgraded so he’s waiting on the upgraded drive to arrive. I did see if I could get the original drive too (so I didn’t have to wait) at a discount but no dice because Hobie has a VERY strict pricing policy. :(

    I hate it when manufacturers put such strict pricing guidelines on their dealers and distributors so that they can still be viable sell factory direct. Even though we are across the globe from them!
