    Wait you're running 440s and no piggyback? No wonder it won't idle!
    Yeah don't sweat any tuning issues until you get that FIC wired in. There's no way your stock ECU can deal with 440s.

    Finally remembered to measure my factory exhaust. It's basically 60 mm OD. I measured one side at 2.372" and the other at 2.387".

    I'm looking into having a shop weld it up for me vs using reducers and clamps. Have a few sources to weld myself or pay someone else, but one is work and we aren't technically allowed to work on vehicles there. The other has a muddy swamp yard right now.

    So I just realized that instead of cutting and re soldering the wires on the 2rz patch harness I can just depin most of them and put them in the correct place on the 3rz patch harness. Plus I'll end up with a 2rz patch harness with minimal splicing that can be re used. :D:D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I’m running 440’s w no ecu tuning and it ideas fine. Only “issue” is it’s extra rich once it hits open loop

    First few tig passes not to bad i had to mess around with torch angle quite a bit and honestly my #17 torch definitely got super hot so i might end up upgrading torches sooner than later..

    Its an issue with the IAC I think but the afrs are at 9-10 until it warms up a little plus I have an exhaust leak at the downpipe before the o2 sensors.

    Yeah before i went on work travel I tried jusy jumping into it like i did with mig but learned super quick tig is way more delicate.. after a few hours of simple practice passes i got a decent grasp on the dials/and technique.

    Not bad for your first attempts. Looks like you're doing the lay style, with the filler. As in a solid bead, and not dabs.

    Air cooled torch?

    Does your torch have a gas lense or no?

    Which size cup were you using?

    How much CFH were you flowing?

    Air cooled its the one that comes with the Lincoln square wave 200 I bought a kit from jody at weld monger for the stubby cup kit but none of the cups fit great with my torch so i may need to upgrade torches if i want to run the stubbys which I would like too.
    I was around 25cfh which is what the cup recommended.
    That piece of steel was super thick 1/4” so I cranked the amps to about 170 and was trying the dab method and the lay i also tried to add to the back of the puddle but thats way harder

    Mine is air cooled as well. Anything over 150 amps doesn't take long to heat up that torch, so I have found. I heard that the CK torches on the Weld Monger sight, the flexible ones, are very comfortable to use, and don't bind the torch in your hand.
