Hey guys. Fun story here. So there I was, doing my best to flex my Team Taco Towtruck muscles, pulling a stranger out of a snowbank, when along comes a BMW spinning down the road and crashing into my front end. Good times.

Good news is, he was insured, his insurance determined him to be 100% at fault and I've got a check for my repairs.

Now I'm trying to make some lemonade. There's no frame damage here, just some bent and broken plastics, plus a busted foglight unit, so I figure I can handle replacing all that myself and pocket the $1000 in billed labor on the estimate. Trouble I'm running into is sourcing the plastics. Especially painted (I can't handle the painting, I've been down that road).

So. Any of you guys got a source for body panels? Bonus points for white ones? Worst case, I bring it to the quoting body shop, no harm, but it would be nice to make a buck here.

Oh, and to save anyone the wasted breath: I've spent a lot of time debating taking the opportunity to upgrade my bumper, ultimately came to the conclusion that as much as I'd love love love to get myself a nice bumper, I carry two kids in this car and I can't justify effing with the crash test rating (and I'm not a fan of the ARB look or weight, personal opinion only).

    Thanks all!

Can you order the parts direct from from the dealership already painted? Or you looking for more cheaper alternatives. Either way you'll save alot by not going to a body shop.

Dealership is worth a call, you're right, was hoping to find cheaper than the dealership if possible though

Ordered a hood, two fenders and three bumpers (front and rear in one of them) for my sisters corolla after the crashed it twice. was able to find them pre painted and color matched and shipped straight to my door halfway across the country without a scratch on them. Packed them pretty well with sheet foam and paper.

It's probably cheaper than you may think to have a body shop paint it for you.

You could find a bodyshop to order, paint and sell you the painted pieces. or you could order unpainted and pay someone to paint them. Either way you'd pocket majority of the labor $$$.

Edit: As a word of warning you're probably going to want them to paint it with your truck there. I had to have a body panel resprayed on my white taco and never noticed how many different shades of white are on the truck from the factory. Plastic pieces are slightly different color than the body panels and fresh paint might look different than your new parts - Just keep in mind that if you do things separately to save money you might be able to notice a slight difference in color.
