I've done a little bit of everything through the years because I had my first kid at 19 so I took any job I could get to support her while still going to school.

Ran heavy equipment and built commercial buildings and residential homes with my Dad since I was 13. He taught me just about everything when it comes to building homes from renovations to new construction to pouring concrete, remodels and building decks.

When he couldn't keep me busy I worked on my Uncle's farm or with my Grandfather doing Land Surveying.

I worked for a swimming pool company for 4 years I was in school and learned how to install pools and do filter system maintenance and repair on the pools. Then learned how to service spas. Also learned the ins and outs on water chemistry. I ended up opening a service company but when the economy tanked my business went under.

Wrenching on cars has always been a hobby, been building hot rods since I was 12 with my Stepdad. He taught me all of the automotive side of things and even a bunch of welding. Built quite a few 16 point roll cages in various cars over the years, no kits. We measured and bent all the tubing, notched and welded in.

I never officially finished college but I took enough classes to know what I was doing. I then landed a job as a Mechanical Designer and that is when I met @jowybyo my business partner for Mobtown. Worked for a company best known for being the designer and manufacturer of the EVA suits for NASA since Apollo 1. I did design work and CAD administration for them. Left there and went to contract for a company designing different trailers for the DOD. Then went to a private company doing manufacturing engineering and production management. I was running a sheet metal and weld shop for 5 years and learned how to run the plasma tables, press brake, plate rollers, shear, saw and various other things. That company had about 30 fabricators, 20 senior assemblers and 40 entry assemblers plus 10 in shipping/receiving. Very busy company doing about 4 million in sales Monthly. That is about the time Mobtown started to gain traction and I decided to make a go of it and put my notice in. They were NOT HAPPY that I was leaving. Probably because I was working 60+ hours a week, 6 days a week and was salary. So they were the ones making out in the end.

The way I look at stuff is why pay someone when I can figure out how to do it myself.

Don't forget we worked here together too. We've been battling corporate suppression together since 2007.

Hey Y'all, Just stumbled onto this thread! Awesome! I've been in TW for a year or so now just prior to getting my 1st gen on St. Paddy's Day '17. Have felt the camaraderie as I sought info and community. And now nice to find like minded's in my backyard.

Well, always the same shit. I tell the wife I will be done early (we commute together) and then some shit fucks up on some file on the computer and then I am stuck here trying to resolve the issue. Just blows. Was supposed to leave by 6:30 and now look, still here! :jerkoff:
