I wouldn’t know. I went to a professional. Personally don’t feel comfortable installing gears/lockers. My opinion, I’d ditch the prerunner and get 4wd. 4wd will get you further than a locked rear.

Heres what I picked up today off craigslist.
    17x9 -12 offset.
Ive read all the treads I can find about going 285 70 17 and its so confusing because some say you cant fit 285s without rubbing the uca and cabmount while ive also read you can. Even on youtube its the same.
Im wanting to go with a 3/2 spacer lift but its the same way. Can someone post any pics or suggest anything that they PERSONALY experienced with these setup.20180211_192834.jpg

Rear locker isn't bad. Biggest thing is the carrier bearings on the V6 SR 4wd are different than the TRD ORs or manual. You also need to get them pressed on the locker carrier. Otherwise you just need basic tools, set the backlash to whatever it was before you touched it, and have a bench vise and tq wrench. Took me roughly 4 hours. I boiled my ring gear and it dropped right on.

Very cool. Not too many SR's with this bumper. There are probably more never-nudes out there ...

Nope, but I got my stock off-road flares for 80 bucks. Keep searching craigslist or offerup in your area. There were three listed about a hundred miles from my location. Prices ranging from 75-150 and all in great condition. I got mine for 80 as the fellow asking 75 was the furthest away. Happy searching!

So I'm not sure if this is the right locker but does anyone know if this will fit a 2016 DCSB 4cyl prerunner?

Looks great! I wish I held out for a manual SR at my dealership but I still love my truck. I made shift knobs and transfer case knobs when I had my 1988 Toyota pickup. That truck got out of hand because I made a custom front bumper and flatbed too . What machines do you have? I see you referenced Fusion & Mastercam. I have been using SolidWorks since I was 15 and a little bit of GibbsCam for the machining centers. I have access to a Haas VF2 mill & SL10 lathe at my families machine shop; Just took delivery of an OMAX waterjet too so the gears are turning in my head for new stuff to make for my truck and around the house

That's awesome. I wish I had solidworks, one day I plan to take a class so I can grab a student license for it.

My last job I used Gibbs to program five Willemin 408 MT's, and partmaker for twice as many Star Swiss turns. My current lineup isn't nearly as fun, but the pay is way more if you can believe it.

Here is my current shop. I developed custom macros for the bulk of our part programming, which really frees me up for projects like this one.

The knobs are made with the QT25 and the Doosan.

Very cool! Lots of toys there. At my families shop we don't have multiple of each of the machines but we have one of every machine I need to keep me busy with projects on the weekends!
