Yes. This bumper attaches to the frame where the crash bar was originally located. Each side reuses 3 bolts and an additional bolt. So total there are 8 bolts to the frame on the inside of the bumper and those 2 at the bottom.

The original crash bar mounts/frame end mounts are really weak that is why I said they are putting a lot of faith in them.

Not arguing, but curious what has brought you to the conclusion that they are really weak?

I have ripped one off the end of the frame and have seen several others that were about to give way.

Meh, I'll keep an eye on them. Worse case scenario I'll have someone weld me some reinforcement plates

Good point. I load winched the synthetic rope when I spooled and the bumper seemed solid as shit. All I can do is keep a keen eye on it. Pretty sure it'll be fine, bumper wasn't budging in the slightest.

Good luck with your winch. FYI- I made the mistake of mounting my synthetic line without going through my hawse fairlead first. I had to cut my cast hook in half because it wouldn't fit through the opening.

Thanks OP. I made sure to spool
With the fairlead pulled through to the hook haha. Can't wait to use this setup in some real world situations.

I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks as we were in the high Arctic with little to no internet. Going up the Dempster highway we got held up for a day in Eagle Plains in Canad's Yukon Territory due to weather in the pass and a fatality on the road. When they finally reopened the pass a Mazda driver in front of me promptly drove into the snowbank blocking the road. My 13 year old son was thrilled as he jumped out and got to use the new winch and we had the Mazda out of the way in about a minute and a half.

These look pretty sweet. I have no use for a winch, but I like the look.

Read the thread all the way through again. Didn't find an answer to the TSS question; does the hoop impede the sensors on an off-road or pro grill?

Yeah I'm glad to have the winch up and running but I haven't tested it 100% yet. I still need to spool it correctly with a 1k load on the line. Not too mention possibly needing a dual battery set up.

Very curious if this bumper works, with a winch installed, AND still leaves room for a light bar in that space between the bumper and grille... I’ve got a 30” Rigid Single Row on the way to stick in there and don’t want to lose that option.... also to some posters that’s exactly why i LIKE this mount the bar is a tiny bit higher so it doesn’t block that lighting location. Might place an order if this all works together....

    Thank you

I’d like to know the distance between the bottom of the hoop and the top of the bumper itself, I’d like to mount a few BD Squadrons there.

On your first pic you can see the stock bumper kind of “warped” or hanging down behind the winch mount... is that going to have to stay like that due to not having the black “chin piece” now? Is there a way to fix this like tie it up or secure it somehow?

Can anyone confirm if this bumper interferes with the radar system in the 2018?

There is a clip that goes through that peice and clips into the bumper to pull that tight.
