I literally just saw a post earlier of a 3rd Gen with steel wheels and it looked fantastic, and now I can't seem to find it again. So, let's see those 3rd gens with steelies!

    Size
    Lift
    Tire size etc

I had them and only took one photo of it. I put my winter tires on them.

Looked terrible, they are on a 2nd gen now. All 4 oem steel rims for spare tire on a SR5.

Hey, I'm going with a fullsize allow spare this week. What do I do with my 16 inch steelie?

I figured I would update you guys on information regarding series 252 Pro Comp steelies. Part number 252-6883 will not fit without at least a 1/4" spacer, and you cannot use the factory TPMS sensors due to the valve stem being too long. These are my findings and I thought that I would share them.

Anyone know - what is the purpose of the slot vs. a normal hole at the valve stem?

I used to think so.... They look just fine with the right tire on them.

I've always though it's so you can identify them. With 15 holes and an oval 16th is 5.25" backspacing on 2nd and 3rd gen and the older 16 holes with no oval 16" spare like used on 1st gen had less, 4.5" I think.

    Mostly stuff I built.
It is so the valve stem can be accessed with an end wrench to tighten the TPMS sensor....

    Now that explanation makes sense.

But it does raise a couple of questions. Most spares don't have TPMS sensors (although my 2008 does) and why then don't the 17" spares have an oval or the previous generation 16"?

This is a 5 lug, just a Google image search. I *think* it's a Tundra spare.
