I could get you a couple of these for free! And we could do the trade when we meet up for the cbi dual can mount... ;)

But they have slight rust in them, I’m in the process of de-rusting the inside and re-coating in inside of them and I’m going to wire wheel them and slap some sweet red paint on them.

How do I find out which model these are? @Blackdawg

He was asking $40 so when I went to meet him, I offered the full $40 because I thought it was a good deal, well he said “I’ll take $20”
    It blew my mind.

if they are around 6'' diameter they are 170s, if they are close to 9'' they are 240s

Nah the belt was shot, but even with the belt on and under tension it still wouldn't hold the pulley enough to loosen the nut. I didn't have time to take the pump off so I'll have to mess with it later.

I had to keep the belt on and under a tich more tension then normal to get the nut backed off. After it was broke loose everything came apart easy peasy. Did you get that rebuild parts supplier i sent you. Checking tolerances requires some machinest tools.

I've got a very slight leak in the t line that feeds the 7th injector. It's not enough to actually drip. It's just enough to wet the t valve.

I think my pulley or shaft is just screwed up. The fluid actually looks really good. So I'm gonna either replace the pulley or do the entire rebuild if the shaft splines are toast. Then I'll see how it's running and determine if it needs a rebuild. I actually read somewhere that some pumps have a keyway and woodruff key, so I might get lucky and just need to replace the key but not sure yet. I'm just wondering what made the thing blow apart, that's why I'm kinda worried about the pump itself.

The little blade sits in the cog as it spins around in the oval race, most of the time its just the blades get worn dowm and rounded over. You flip em to put the sharp 90 edge out and the rounded edge in. The shaft can get grooved in the guide from over tightened belts. If the guide is over 10thou out its nfg and pump body must be replaced. The blades have something like 1thou tolerace between the drive and blade. You need a small bore gauge for the honed bronze shaft guide measurment, I cant remeber that tolerance.

Or you can do what I was going to do and build a trailer frame (which you already have) and put a Tacoma bed on top of it to match the truck.

My money pit next to my other money pit.

    IMG_6452.jpg

Bought some new parts for the blue money pit today - vents, seats, seat belts, and various trim. I've decided I'm painting all of the plastics in that truck black. It's too scratched up to keep it as it is so I will have to be be refinishing it.

Runs like a champ for having half a million miles. My other truck has a lot of catching up to do...

Speaking of my other truck - I was up in the hills dropping a buddy off when we were looking for vantage points of the city. Had the perfect opportunity to use 4HI up a really steep and rough road but it was too cold and I was too lazy to go out and lock the hubs. First world problems at its best.
