Or they could order this exact same kit from somewhere else that still has them for about $100 less... but whatever.

You mean all the places that are sending back order or ‘too heavy to ship’ notifications, as the manufacturer supply is dwindling? Maybe $85 bucks is worth the peace of mind of a sure thing.

No. Search around. Plenty of places have these in stock and ship. There are about 14 threads on this very setup sprinkled throughout TW. Plenty of people are still getting them.
And none of them raised the price of the kit in the last week for any fucking reason.

I don’t need to search around, I already did my research and ordered my kit from the vendor of my choice. Just like everybody else gets to do! But I don’t know, maybe a couple TW pitchforks will get Rogue to lower their price. Or maybe they will continue running their business as they see fit and let the market speak.

I know how many bills I have to pay just looking after a household and family, I can only imagine running an actual brick and mortar store location and the bills you need to cover to stay in business. TRDparts4U is still selling this kit for $999.
I did buy from Conicelli with coupon for $560 plus shipping.

They can run their business anyway they want. I'm just letting it be known that there are still kits out there other than the place mentioned.

This has nothing to do with a vendor doing shitty things and trying to get them to lower their price. They can charge whatever they want. If they were to start giving them away for 50% off, I still wouldn't buy from them. The whole point of them raising the price due to lack of availability is nonsense given the fact that no one else has done that. It's not even the first shitty thing they have done in this thread.

Not sure why no one else here seems to have just called their local dealer. Mine were able to get them for me the next day.

Deep breath... I just ordered a set. I planned to never change the suspension on my truck but I just couldn’t pass this up. $600 for all four corners is just the start though. I also ordered some 4Runner 17” Pro Wheels and I am going to run 265/70r17 Terra Grapplers. I need your expert advise Tacoma World. I have a Leer XR and my truck is sitting level right now. I want to keep it level with this kit. Do I need to add 1 leaf? Or do I need a new leaf pack? I have never lifted a truck before and have no experience with the whole leaf thing. Of course I’ve searched! And I am just overwhelmed with information. Which one of these do you recommend?

Just wrapped up installing the second half of my kit along with an HS progressive AAL. Took it for a quick spin around the block to see how it rides and I gotta say my first impression is very good. Feels firmer and yet smoother at the same time. Of course this was only a short ride on pavement so I am not going to make any grand proclamations about it just yet.
I thought I would share some of my lessons learned from this install. I have to say I was apprehensive about doing this at first. I have plenty of mechanical experience with aircraft and motorcycles but truck suspensions are a very new realm for me. That being said, anyone with mechanical ability and some basic tools can do this. If you are doing it yourself, here is what I recommend/learned:

    1. Get a friend to help you. You can do this alone but there are lots of times when a second set of hands would be great.
    2. Disconnect the sway bar first and reconnect it last when doing the front
    3. The installation of the rear shocks is very straight forward and if you aren't doing an AAL then it is as easy as can be.
    4. If installing the HS AAL, you will need to remove the rear spring clamp. I found it easier to use a cutoff wheel initially and finish with an angle grinder to grind down the rivet. I then used a pipe wrench to pry the clamp off and that was really easy. I then ground the remainder of the rivet off and hit it with some paint.
    5. It's easy to get the OL backwards, pay attention
    6. When installing the AAL leafs (especially if you are using the OL), clamp the OEM springs together (I put the old centering pin in upside-down while doing this to keep the leafs aligned) then put the OL in below the OEMs. Drop the axle down as far as you can (the brake lines will be really tight on the driver side) and slide the AAL leafs in one at a time. You can insert them in from the side and then rotate them into position. Remember, clamps are your friend when doing an AAL.

It was too dark for pictures tonight and I was too tired and too ready for a beer to take them. I will get some tomorrow along with some measurements. In the meantime her are some from today's work.

Thanks @Robdaman for giving me the tips that allowed me to keep my sanity.

Is there any difference in the Icon progressive AAL and the HeadStrong progressive AAL?

I'd have to agree. I bought mine in August before all this interest began, but paid 1500.

I have heard that the single leaf setups are more rigid and don't ride as nice. For the small difference in price, I would go with the 3 leaf.

Measure you truck from ground to fender in All four corners (more accurate to me imo) or middle of your wheel hub to fender. This will help you figure out where your truck will sit after lifting

The pro set seems to be giving people 1.75"-2" up front. Adding an AAL or 3leaf AAL give 1.5" or more depending if you leave the overload leaf in or out but because you have a bed cap I'd leave the overload leaf in if you went this route.

Then the full leaf pack pack depending which you get give the most lift 2-3" depending on how much weight your carry in the rear.

Each has its pro vs cons which I'd suggest you look into. I prefer a truck with some rake maybe an inch or so to prevent sitting nose high if the bed is loaded.

Guess it wasn’t meant to be. My order got cancelled due to lack of availability. Called my local dealer and they can’t get it either. I refuse to pay inflated prices. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise...
