My team plays in half an hour for the UEL.

Shitty first half... seemed lethargic. Not sure if it was because of the long trip (furthest trip in all of Europe from one city to the other), or if it was the artificial field, and not being used to it all yet.

Down 1-0 early on. Had a clean goal taken away in the first half still. CLEAN.

Second half came out firing from the get go, 1 goal, and then two more quick ones, and it was a done deal.

3-1 away win baby!!! Second leg next Thursday.

In other news... an interest game for my team yesterday. Played away at a team whose prez publicly said he is a benfica fan, so you knew his team would come out hacking and wacking everything and everyone on my team. Actually it's a public fact since it's a game stat, that against benfica they only committed 8 TOTAL FOULS IN THE ENTIRE GAME last time they played. Against us yesterday they made 24, and against porto just about the same. Weird you say?! Not really... portuguese football is full of teams like this, they "open their legs" for benfica. But that's another story.

Back to the game. Shitty start to the game, and we're down 1-0 within the first 15 minutes. We keep pushing and pushing, and tie it up with 10 minutes to go in the first half. A few yellow cards for both sides, one of which went to Jeremy Matthieu, yes, the ex uefalona player is OURS now. And let me tell you, the man still has it! Rock fucking solid.

Second half starts, we keep pushing, and in a bit of a scuffle Matthieu sees a second yellow for putting his hands on the face of an opposing player, trying to defend one of our own. I would have done the same thing. At this point I'm like, we lose today, bye bye championship since benfica and porto had already played and won.

With 10 men we keep pushing, attaching, getting caught on counters but always put a stop to it. The 90 minute comes, ref give 4 extra minutes. In Portugal, "small" teams always play the time wasting game, ALWAYS. Players hit the floor and don't get up, keeper slow to put the ball back in play on goal kicks and punts, you name it they do it. Player from the opposing team goes down at the 93, and stays down, for a couple minutes. Naturally the ref was going to give a couple extra minutes to make up for that. The game goes on ALL THE WAY TO THE 98TH minute, in which we FUCKING SCORE THE GAME WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Weird play, their defender puts the ball into the post, and none other than Sebastian Coates (yes, the ex Liverpool defender is ours, and what a fucking center back he is!) comes into the box running from behind and COMPLETELY blasts the ball into the goal!

The good thing about this story is, or the point that I'm trying to make is, porto and benfica constantly get "help" from the refs by way of extra time on top of extra time, to either tie the game is they are losing, or win if they are ties. yesterday we finally got that "break", and won it! And now, obviously, both of those teams and their fans are saying that we're the one always getting help. For real?! We've won 4 championships in the past 40 years, and we're the ones getting help??!! porto and benfica have won a shitload always with funky shit going on in the field and behind the scenes. Felt fucking great to win like that for a change!

I do have it posted for sale on TW, but I am not listing it on other sites like ebay craigslist or any of the auto trader type pages...
Will see how it goes, I did not price it exactly for a quick sale so if it does go it will be to someone who really wants it since it is some what of a steep asking price taking into account the price of a new 3rd gen. If it does end up selling I would most likely end up in another toyota 4x4 platform.
