I agree 100% with PaulK, Google search isn't and will never be a replacement for an experienced doctor that can give a real diagnosis and treatment.

That makes sooner-than-later even more important. You need to get him taken care of before the stress of the move. Please...see a vet.

We are talking to the previous owners to see where they took him. That way we at least take him somewhere he has a history with.

When they are out you could always hack into their emeow and read what they are up to.

@Toyko Joe - Any updates? Sorry to hear about the issues you are having with him. Hope it's not anything too bad.

Side Note: Abigail (our cat) has had bathroom (pee) issues for a while.... She pees outside the box pretty much every time (sometimes she goes in but not that often). We have pee-pads setup all around the boxes (3 of them). She poop's in the box which is good news. We've taken her to the vet and they don't have any answers. She's not in pain/suffering. No UTI or anything like that. They said it is most likely behavioral :/ We clean the litter boxes pretty much after each time she goes in them.. Every 3 weeks fully clean them and put in new litter.

I've had enough of this (changing pee-pads twice a day or more)... No I'm not going to get rid of her. The wife wouldn't let me. Abigail has been living with my wife longer than my wife and I have been married (we have been together for a while but never lived together until we got married). We don't know the exact age of Abigail but my wife believes she's around 15-16 years old.

I want to post pictures of the litter box area but the wife would KILL me.

We fixed MOST of Ginger's out-of-box issues with treats. We carry her to the box at least twice a day (morning and night, and more often if possible) and put her in. If she pees she gets love and treats. She bitched at first, and it took awhile, but now it's so routine that she sits at the top of the basement stairs before bed for one of us to take her to the potty. She seems to recognize that when we are not home she's on her own, and it's been okay. Of course, this was all after resolving the underlying urination pain issue by getting her on the urine acidifier. Might be worth a try for Abigail.

Last night he was 90% himself and 100% himself this morning. Following me around the house, sitting on the couch with me, leading me into each room of the house, eating (both hard and soft food), peeing a few times a day which is normal so... Now since he's had a taste for the soft food he is begging for it when I go into the fridge. We got the Vet info from the previous owners about 8pm last night and they were already closed. I will be going home early today, if I notice any changes in his behavior we are going to call the vet, but otherwise we are observing his behavior to be normal at this point.
Have you seen or tired the top enter litter boxes? We were going to give that a try until we found an under bed shoe storage container 17"x24"x8"

We bought big bins from Home Depot and cut entry holes in the side with a utility knife. The high sides keep them from pissing over the top of the box when they are trying to mark it like pissing on a wall. They don't like it when the lids are on, so we don't bother.

We got this one. Actually it says the measurements are 23" L x 16 1/4" W x 6" H OOPS to what I've estimated before.

Try a box with no lid, low sides. I know one of our older cats had trouble getting in the box at an advanced age.

Agree. We cut the holes pretty low because Ginger is getting old.
