Pan seered steak ain't no issue. That's how most restaurants make it.

I suppose Chicago style works in a pinch. Last time I did it my next door neighbour called the fire dept.:anonymous:

My (home) office ceiling is leaking. It’s below the master bathroom and I thought someone accidentally knocked the old jacuzzi tub knob that opens up the Jets. That’s happened before and resulted in a small leak. This one is different. The toilet tank was leaking this time, and it was the screw that holds the tank to the bowl. Fixed that, no problem.

Ceiling is still leaking and now I can’t tell if it is just a buildup from the toilet leak or if it’s the skylight that is leaking and it’s because of the rain we’ve been having.

Not a great start to the week (I know it’s Tuesday but I was off yesterday, so it’s my Monday).

Yep. Reverse sear is good too, but it takes longer. Bear with me:

Bake it slowly to desired internal temp (usually takes a half hour or so for medium rare)
Remove, wrap in foil and let it rest for 10 minutes or so.
Get your pan hotter than hell, sear each side to get some color on the outside
    Eat immediately

I tried it and it was really good, but it takes too long and I feel worthless because there isn’t any tending to it for a while like if I was grilling it. Also, I’d have to admit I’m baking my steak.

That sounds pretty good too. Personally I just grill it on my gas grill as hot as it can go. Marinate the steak over night in Italian dressing so eventually the grill has a grease fire and the outsides get a little crispy and the inside stays about medium rare. Usually takes about 3 mins per side

Glad to earn my stay. Sometimes those grease fires get intense.
