We'll be at Expo West. Not sure yet what other shows we'll be doing.

@DoorDing @RedBeard1 - We'll be going dark for the next 2-3 weeks when it comes to new photos as we'll be building the first two production units here soon (will have some process photos though). They'll both be 3rd gen models, one a short bed, one a long bed, one with windows, one without. But once those are done expect a ton of photos as that will be what we're shipping (and close variations on those depending on the generation).

The logos will be really subtle low-contrast graphics on the side, along with a machined badge on the rear hatch. It'll look good and not like a big flat slab when we get all the finish details finalized.

AWESOME!!!! Can’t wait to see everything. My check is in the mail, can’t wait to see a finished project. I’ll agree with some of the guys who are waiting for the finished project to drop 5K. I’ll say i was literally days away from buying and ARE (the HD model with interior frame) and a premium RTT, costs would have been the same but *hopefully* this is going to be much more durable and obviously it WILL be much lighter. Plus to me having a livable space under the tent (for my wife to pee, or to crash on a rainy day and watch the IPad, or even cook with my MSR Windburner with hanging attachment). I also looked very seriously at a habitat, but 8600, plus 1600 shipping, and not being able to keep things on the roof while camping. This seems like far and away the best option of anything i have seen, for my needs.

Also for anyone who wants to see it i WILL be at Overland Expo East with mine all three days.

And for what it’s worth i have no affiliation with these guys, but i do like to talk gear!!!!

Checks in the mail, in the first batch for March pickup, and canopy for sale. I’m in Portland and anyone is welcome to check it out when I lay my hands on it. Once spring hits you’ll find me surfing, in the mountains or streams.

How were you able to find out which batch you are in? I put my check in the mail on Thursday and have not heard anything back yet regarding batch pickup. Thanks!

The email I got from Graeme said that they are doing blocks of 15 and I was number 15 in the purchase order. Assuming that everyone pays from the first batch those first 15 I assume will be in the first batch. If any of them bail out the the next few orders move up. At least that's what I'm hoping for. =)

I believe they're asking folks for payment in the order that they pre-ordered, in batch sizes that represent what they can manufacture in a few weeks time. If people drop out, they will ask the next people in line. I assume they're then building them in the order of full payment being received.

If I could pay in full right now and improve my spot in line (currently #94) I would!

I totally misread their earlier post, was thinking they were bumping folks up in the order they paid. Guess I could have held off a bit on that one!

I think you read it right. We're building in batches of 15 based on order paid, but sorted by the order of deposits. For two reasons, one so that there's an advantage to paying sooner and two so that folks with deposits who aren't ready to pay don't have to pay immediately or lose their spot.

So paying sooner gets you your GFC sooner, but being an early depositor also helps you get it sooner.

Will you be updating us with build order as the checks come in and that gets sorted out?

Yep. If you’ve paid in full but need a later delivery date we can do that.

Does this include the XL builds too or are those on a separate build timing?

The XL models (for full size trucks) are on a different timeline since the extra width means a slightly different tent and mattress. The plan is to start in on those in May though.

    Just the basics
Not sure if it has been answered before but how does the bench seat work as seen in the animation? I'm looking forward to seeing these on the road. Definitely a game changer.

Also very interested in this. The ability to have a “crash pad” on lousy rainy days was a big reason for me putting in my order... I’d love to have a better idea of how this will work as well.

Just waiting on the new CC to come in the mail to take advantage of the 0% plus one time cash rewards. Should be paid up soon, and will help get a batch of 3rd gen, short beds get in to production.

Basically it's just a spot where the cushions can go. On the Baja testing trip I had an action packer there and just used that as a base for the cushions to make a couch. At some point in the near future we'll come up with some legs for the big removable panel so it can convert into a bench.
