Had some kid in a Hondouche Civic behind me at a stoplight while ago. Sounded like it had a kazoo up it's ass.

I had Everett's old TRD skid AND the stock skids. The stockers didn't see much abuse. TRD was another story. I got it "pre-stressed" and then beat it up some more.

If I can get it organized, I'm wanting to get most of us to a trail just outside of New Albany Indiana this summer. (Right across the Ohio River from Louisville) There's a power line right-of-way we've been running since the mid 70's that we call Highwater Road. It was once literally a detour when the main highway running west from New Albany would flood. The trail has a hill you have to negotiate right off the gravel road. It has always had the name "Stairway to Heaven"....Literally 200 yards of stair-stepped rocks at a fairly steep angle. There are about a dozen steps where you alternate from tires to skids, then back to tires....It's doable, but intimidating on the first try.

The trail is 7 miles long, has several outstanding views of downtown Louisville way off in the distance, and a couple spots where we usually build a bonfire and hang out. Some of the hills are damn steep and it needs to be either dry or frozen solid to make it up them. It reminds me of Black Mountain only smaller....

Most of the times I've been on it was at night.

Back in the 70s when 4 wheeling first became mainstream, most people were into "muddin'". Some of us did that and loved playing in the hills and rocks. Most of the "mud puppies" as we called em were scared shitless of this place.

Many fond memories of nights of partying @ Highwater in my Jeeps, a '77 Bronco, and my first Toyota (a 1984 regular cab/long bed with 38's.)
