Icon rxt leaf pack

i know myself and Jerry have them in. I'm pretty impressed. I'm running option 2 of the configuration on fox dsc 2.5 and it rides pretty damn smooth. I threw tent on, fridge in and solar battery box, hi lift and rotopax and drove around today a bit. Stays nice and tall and the rear doesn't feel at all chattery with or without bed configuration.

I'm might give option 3 a try here soon but since I don't leave these items in I might stick with this setup and just adjust compression on the fly to suit conditions.

This is with all the items in. What's missing is swing out and bed slide which might necessitate the option 3 configuration. This is a pretty solid leaf setup.

 

Which Fox shock did you run, FOX 883-26-007 0 to 1.5" of lift or FOX 883-26-006 2.5 to 3.5 of lift? I ordered the RXT leaf pack over the weekend along with Fox DSC shocks. I'm only looking to use 1.85" lift, option 1.

 

Curious to hear feedback on how much it squats with a load using option 1.

 

Same here, but I typically don't use bed too often with heavy loads. On occasion I pull a 6' x 12' Utility trailer with a SXS, weighs about 2800 lbs combined. Its squats a little, but not slammed as its sits now with all OEM suspension. I am coming from a 2nd gen with Icon 1.5 AAL & 2.5 RR (overload removed), which squatted just slightly more. Can't really give no measurements, but I was fine towing without overload leaf.

Wish there was more feedback on RXT pack with and without Icon shocks.

I’d guess .5” - .75”, depending on your load for option 1.

 

Yeah, I see the unloaded measurement, but they don't mention anything about how much it drops with a load specifically for option 1. It looks like about 1/4" per 100 lbs based on the information provided, but I'm curious to see if it's really that linear.

 

@blackohio which rear Fox shock you go with? Wondering if the Tundra spec'd Fox is an issue full bump.

 

Im running the full 2.5 DSC 3" lift version front/rear.

Any updated feedback on these? I'm in the market for a new leaf pack, and leaning heavily towards these.

The vast majority of the time I only carry maybe 100lbs in just tools and recovery gear, but the occasional extended camping trip where that might bump up to closer to 250-300. No rack, rtt, or rear bumper yet, but highly plausible for these to be added in the future.

Don't forget that Deaver has 3 stages of their U402 variant based on the constant load you want to run in the bed

 

I'm running these at Option 1. I need to double check but I may still be at 2 to 2.5" of lift. I haven't really loaded up my truck bed to give any feedback. Went out to Padre Island National Seashore with about 150 lbs, no passengers. Just measuring with my eyeballs I'd say it came down about 1/2" in the rear. Also, I'm running Fox 2.5's out the box. Decided against the revalved extended Foxes at the moment, wanted to install Foxes out the box untouched.

 

What Rack is that? Wonder if it will fit over my Softopper.

 

Thanks for the feedback - 5160's right now, but have 12" fox 2.0's from accutune and BAMF relocation sitting in the garage pending install to pair with.

Now that you’ve had them a while. Any creaks, squeaks or noises that are not easily mitigated? These are a bit more than Dakars or other options, but if they are quiet and hold up I’m starting to think they are worth it.

i have some creaks after off-roading in the dusty west. but i usually just spray them with dry film and it goes away until next time i’m in the dirt sand

 

Nice. Have you had Dakars or other leaf packs? Would you say these are worth the extra $? I’m seeing the fact they come with an extra leaf and it appears bushings installed on both ends it’s not that much of a $ premium over other options. Did yours come ready to bolt up, bushings in both ends? Any preventative lubrication on install?
