Thanks... It was quick considering I ordered it Tuesday morning. Its going to be an interesting installation, as I to havent ever put one on. I was hoping that someone has done something similiar to this before. It looks fairly easy in the directions. I'd try and do it myself here but its pooring down rain and my single car garage isn't big enough. Stupid rain!!!

If my weekend was not already full I would be down to help. Never done anything like that but I would not think it would be bad.

good luck with the aal, can't wait to see how it changes the stance of your truck. next time you'll be able to hit the hill at 88 mph and not bottom out :burnrubber:

UPDATE on my AAL: Me being the impatient person that I am couldn't wait to do it Sunday and instead I started lastnight at about 8:00. It took me and a buddy about 4 hours to do. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be, but the drivers side probably took the most time. The brakes lines attach to the rear axel closer to the drivers side therefore when I would let the axel down the brakes lines kept getting pulled tight. This prevented me from being able to slide the new AAL/helper spring in place beneath the leaf springs. It was a challange, and the directions suck. Anyways there wasn't any problems installing it, just took some creative ways to get the driver side done. All said and done it was pretty easy, glad I did it myself and didn't pay someone else to do it. Ok now for the results. Here ya go.
    BEFORE:
    35 inches+2 inch AAL=37inches right???

    After:

    39inches............WTF.............
I'm hoping that it settles to somewhere around 37inches like it was supposed to be. If it does settle down a couple of inches I probably wont be doing the front. But if not, I will be adding a front lift of some sort. I was really shocked about the ride, IMHO it actually made it better. It isn't bottoming out and it feels as if the rear suspension is more equal to the front as far as stiffness. Before the front was stiff and the rear was weak, so you would hit a bump and when the front tires went over it you would feel it, when the back went over it it would just either bottom out or be really mushy. I'm still glad I did it, I just hope that it settles down alot in the next week or so. The biggest thing I noticed what the tailgate and how much higher that was, and my running boards might actually get used! Tell me what you think, and be honest. I'll respect your opinion. Do you think it is to much of a front rake now???

From the pictures it does not look like much of a rake. I would give it some time to see if it settles.

I backed up to it and the trailer, and the jack wont lift high enough for me to put it on. I need to flip my receiver from a 2inch rise to a 2in drop. But I plan on doing that to help settle it down but its been raining all day.

Thanks, I do like how much more of a stance it has. Just not sure how I like the forward rake.

Agreed. If the rake stays as it is after a couple weeks and some nights with the boat hooked up, then I'd get the spacers for the front. My guess is that it will settle and look fine though. Glad the install went smoothly.

^ Thanks, I think I've made up my mind, not sure yet though. I'm going to do the front, I just dont know if I should do spacers, coilovers, or the 5100's.

I know I'm really like the new stance, and I think it will look even better with the front done!

Basically stock. OME 882s, HD Dakars and nitrochrgers, TG front bumper, custom rear bumper, 4Xinnovations sliders, RAT skids, Softopper, 255/85/16 ST MAXX's on 16" steelies, 1" B.O.R.A. wheel spacers Scangaugae II, deck plate mod, grey wire mod,ECGS bushing, diff breather relocation, alarm mod, defrost w/o compressor mod, de-badged, sockmonkey beside decals.
i think it looks fine. nice work! i wouldnt do the front right away though if you do decide you want to. i would let the rear settle for a little while first. maybe after a few times hauling your boat or something. the 5100's seem to be the way to go according to most people on here. im hoping to put 5100's all the way around my taco sometime this year because it's about time to replace stock tokico's.

Thanks, it wasn't as bad as I was originally thinking. I dont think I give myself enough credit when it comes to working on my truck. I think it should settle atleast an inch or 2, but I've been bitten by the TW bug. I really like the new stance and with a front lift I think Ill like it more. I'm still doing research on the best way to lift the front. I haven't decided what I want yet. I know the spacers can make the ride stiffer, but they are the cheapest. The 5100's sounds great but are more expensive and have been on backorder for a while. I email one of the venders on here about what my options are. I really dont want to sacrafic my ride quality or the reliability of my truck, but the front it def. getting done. Hopefully in the next week or 2 before our next meet.
