I’m curious about adding the 1/4” spacers. Is that just to get additional 1/4” lift? Would it be easy enough to move the passenger side ring to get the extra 1/4”, and then just put one spacer on the driver side? Maybe not with the effort, but was just curious.

Just received tracking as well. Ordered last Friday. Was told that it would be 3-5 days for them to come in from Toyota to OEM and here we are!

A 1/4” spacer will give an extra ~1/2” lift.

Both mentioned approaches will produce similar results. The spacer on each side is just the easier method.

It fit fine for me, sure there wasn't a ton of stud sticking out the other side of the nut as without out, but there was still enough that I felt good about it.

FOR THOSE THAT ORDERED AND STILL WAITING FROM OEMPARTSWORLD:

I posted this on the 3rd gen section, but here you go:

I was able to get hold of someone on the phone from OEMPARTSWORLD after being on hold for 2-3 hrs. I have confirmed that orders will be fulfilled. They had 15 sets arrived today (the latest confirmation I heard is someone that ordered Saturday morning). There will be another 25 sets arriving later this week (guaranteed since they said it’s already being shipped from Toyota to them). There was around 20 orders they had to fill when I called, so I guess 5-10 orders were not filled today since they only received 15.

PSA: If you bought these, they should work nicely with Dakar leafs. The Dakar/OME leaf springs were intended to work together with the OME Nitrocharger 60091 shocks. The Nitrochargers are 14.17" compressed and 23.93" extended. No mention of non-oem bumpstops or brake lines with OME kits. The 5160's are 14.22" compressed and 24.06" extended. I'm betting there is more than a 0.05" margin on those Nitrochargers, if one is truly paranoid, stick some pennies (0.058" thickness, dimes will work too, but cost 10 times as much :) ) under your bumpstops :). Confirmed on the TRD Baja/Pro owners thread with stock bump stops and lines; however people do comment brake lines, while trouble-free look a bit unnerving under hard articulation.

How much better are these over BILSTEIN 5100’s? Is it worth replacing my BILSTEINS?

Based off just the size, holding them and then my 5100's, they should be a good upgrade. Its a pretty substantial difference in build, but i'm not running them yet to compare. I got some other things to acquire before i do. I dont like my 5100's set at 1.75. Maybe they wouldn't be so bad if i had set them at .85

Any new reports of installs? So far I think I'd seen one set of "after" pictures (for 2nd gen) and they used a 3 leaf aal.

From a technical standpoint; Compare the 6112 and 5160 to the 5100, and you'll have your answer as to how much better they are.

Only you can answer the "is it worth it" question. It's your truck, your wallet.

No, but an old shock has no difference in length from a new one.

Good point. Do you work in the industry or specifically in suspension design? Your comments make me think you do, since you quantify the upgrade over stock Bilsteins as "a little bit". I'd like to pick your brain a bit if so because, I don't want to waste time/money on these if they are pretty inferior to other offerings.

I’m in for $575 though which is what I just paid to pick mine up. Dachshund for scale.

    These are very good shocks/springs

To say they are "only bilsteins" is misleading. Bilstein makes some very high end stuff.

The factory bilsteins are their weakest fleet offering. 5100 would be a small step up.

These are big, beefy digressive valved custom tuned coilivers with eibach coils.

I think this is a giant leap up from stock and certainly not far below FOX. I would rather these 2.5 over FOX 2.0 and reservoir over FOX non-reservoir.

It’s what I’m thinking, they’re only about 1.5 years old.

Yes, they do it for the lift. Often because if you install a full leaf pack or (AAL+overload) with 2"+ of lift in rear, there will be too much rake. The front spacers bring rake back into a more reasonable 1-1.5" range.

This is simply incorrect. There are a number of people who upgraded to this kit prior to it being marked down. And plenty of people sprung for buying the TRD Pro with this suspension being a driving component in making their decision. If you have any sort of type technical data to legitimize your comment saying this kit is "a little better" than other bilstein kits, please share. If not, it kind of sounds like you are just being a hater.

No right answer for this one. Personally, I'd consider this a great upgrade over 5100's at the $600 price. Depends on what you're goals are I guess.
