Moving to Calgary from Houston

    -30's is pretty freakin cold. Out of 7 winters I spent there I'm quite sure they all had multiple days below that. Command start is worth its weight in gold, as are heated seats and down jackets. I personally can't stand the place, but a lot of people from Saskatchewan and Manitoba seem to like it.

    when i lived in alberta, i was about 5 hours north west of calgary, and it would get to -45 or -50 in the week or two long cold snap in February.

    That's not human friendly.

    My first winter in Calgary (I think it was '96) it was -30C or colder with the windchill for the entire month of November. Then winter started after that. I believe it was the 2nd coldest winter on record. The following 6 weren't much better, hence why I refuse to live there anymore.

    2009 Tacoma SR5 Too many to list, but its a SR5 with a TRD Sport Heart
    So how did the move go? are you settled in Calgary or looking for people to wheel with?
