4wd conversion. Need help please.

Can I swap out the input on the t case? If I find another 1 to put on or do I need a new tcase?

 

That sounds like a lot more work than it's worth... another transfer case is $100-$200 tops.

 

Remember you need one off the same engine and transmission since there will be differences in length for the shifter position

 

Dam lol. That's what I get for buying a 10 dollar transfer case.

 

So I guess the 4x4 conversion guide was somewhat wrong or the answer wasn't confirmed that you can't used a transfer case from a manual onto an auto...

You're using an A340F right?

 

Yea but the output was long for some reason. I swapped out the output tho. It only cosy me 75 dollars but it's good it all fit. Tried putting up the tranny. It's hard doing it solo. Lol

Yea I swapped it out myself. The shaft itself cost 75. It worked out tho. I even swapped out some planetary gears that where effed up.

 

Props to you. I have nowhere near the patience required to do that. Lucky I only paid $250 for an A340F.

 

Yea I broke a few things in there tho. Good thing I had the 340e for spare parts lol.

 

Looks like you could have cut the input shaft down an inch or two . That will work in a pinch .
